I am here to, hey why don't we organise a post a-thon???
I'm jealous! I saw it mentioned in the newsletter and thought:Hi.
I'm off today to the LA Convention center to the Gay Erotic Expo, with a couple of friends. I expect to see some of the JUB people there!

^ Now that sounds like fun!
2. They feel intimidated by some of the older Jubbers.
Anything and everything they say or do is judged and criticized. Some of these kids come on here because they have no where else to go. They feel that they can be themselves here with anyone judging them. They have alot to deal with. Some kids have a hard time being themselves at home, school, and or with friends. Us older ones should know what it feels like to be young, gay, bi, trans, etc...
Instead of making it a welcoming place, we make it intimidating.
Remember what it's like to be young and confused. Put yourself in their shoes, because I am pretty sure alot of us were in the position that they are in now.
I'm only posting this because I've gotten pms from some of them.
Maybe if we stop judging and criticizing everything that they do, they might feel more encouraged to participate....This place is supposed to be fun.
I'm ready for my ass kicking now....
Hm, I agree with you on this one. It took me like 700 posts before I felt like a "jubber", I guess before I just kind of thought I was watching everyone else and being ignored when I did post.

Well, I've given this some thought. I'm guessing that people aren't posting and are doing alot of lurking because:
1. The grammar police....
Who cares if a person forgets to dot their i's or cross their t's?
.............................. have the right to express themselves whichever way they please as long as they are not offending or attacking anyone.
I have often typed out a response...then deleted it...because I think I might have spelt a word wrong or left out a comma.
and that's wrong. It should be the plural possessive ("newbies' posts"). But no one called me on it.I make it a point to comment on newbie's posts.
I'm ready for my ass kicking now....
- I think your post hit the nail on the headYou summoned?
