Which Club Is Going To Win The Premiership This Season?

Yeah, true, there's a lot in the north west. Liverpool, Man Utd, Man City, Everton, Bolton, Blackburn and Wigan? They the ones you were thinking of?
Yep those were the ones. Maybe Wigan will go down so it doesn't hit poor little London so hard. ;)

In comparison, only two from the north east, Boro and the skunks.
But Sunderland's up that way and they look like they'll be back up.

^ scroll down to "next season" on this site, and you will get every Football League table since 1888-9. Fascinating stuff.:D

Great referee tonite in the ManU v Sheffield Utd game. Well if you're ManU supporter...| A blatent penalty "not seen" seen by the referee, or his - LOL - assistent.

Surprise! Surprise!;) And an absolutely disgraceful decision. Why? Because it's ManU at home. And the referee is not brave enough to anger the complete moaner AF.

It makes me puke...:(

pmsl i was watchin the game at a bar, and as soon as it happened i thought, i bet someone moans about it on here lol

i dont disagree with u, it was a penalty and im not even going to contest it, but shit happens, and it happens in other games involving other clubs too, not just Utd. The only reason why it gets made a huge deal is coz its Utd, u and others probably wouldnt even complain as much as that when it happens to another team.

Anyway, Utd win 2-0 to restore thier 6pt gap at that top, although Chelsea play West Ham 2mrw nite and well again its a case of top v bottom, will Chelsea do what Utd did tonight and beat relegation battling West Ham, or will West Ham do Utd a huuuuge favour? i think Chelsea will most likely win 2mrw, they know wot they have to do and probably wont be going out without fighting.

Also Arsenal beat Man City 3-1 and have gone 3rd in the table now ahead of Liverpool.

How odd. The news didn't even mention there being any controversy whatsoever - when they're stonewall, usually they're mentioned.

Ah well. What happened? I missed it.

was late in the 2nd half:

"Shelton sped away from Brown and dashed into the area before being felled by Heinze.

The Blades were convinced a penalty should have been the reward for Shelton's endeavour, but referee Rob Styles waved away their fierce protests." from skysports

the game was already over by then and Utd had it won anyway, probably wouldnt hav made much difference, besides the scoreline would hav ended 2-1.

Would've made that crossbar hit by Tonge all the more terrifying for ya, though, I bet ;)

Yeah, bring it on Man Utd! We gave you a damn good game of it every time we've played you this season - At the home league, a ronaldo dive received a penalty which cost us at least a point. And in both the cup legs, it was just a very tightly contested match.

And Boro' are playing at Liverpool in about 50 minutes...| Good luck with that one.

Then after ManUtd, Boro' welcome Spurs to the Riverside.:D

All tricky games, especially at this time of the season when there is still, for most clubs, a lot at stake.

well, i was so hoping west ham would hav put up a better fight than that 2night, but always kinda knew Chelsea would win 2day as they MUST to win every game now, 4-1 ahwell.

Blackburn beat watford 3-1 so i think its safe to say watford are all but relegated, along with west ham i think.

and it was Stevie.G 2-0 Boro lol

Aye, sounds like the boro one was pretty much us defending like dogs all for the first half - applaudable, but not really gonna get you anywhere - and not sticking on Viduka until late. He's the focal point of our attack at the moment - he's the one who really facilitated the Boro turnaround of the first two months of 2007, which frankly saved our season.

Mind you, he'd been ill, I guess. Stomach bug apparently. That was why he missed the Villa game.

Steven Gerrard is superb at breaking down a battling defence. He tends to be at his best when he's taking on defences who're fighting like mad. Not sure why, it just seems that way.

Sam/Jacobim: Any thoughts about the game at OT tomorrow?

Spurs v Arsenal at WHL earlier in the day on PremPlus. Im nut @ awl nervus.;)

well thankfully we got Rio, O'Shea and Evra available, so atleast we have back up if we need it. besides that everyone else is ok.

i jus think the way we've been playing in the last few games were not going to give up on all the hard work we've done so far and drop more points, although as the saying goes "anything can happen"

we havent lost a game in the league at home since Arsenal back in september and only drawn 1 to chelsea, so i really dont see us losing tomorrow, well hopefully not lol i think Boro will come to Old Trafford and just defend at and hope to get a goal on the counter.

And please if theres a penalty 2mrw, please dont moan lol unless ofcourse it honestly wasnt a penalty.

Middlesbrough is a bogey team for the biggies, though. ;)
Last year, we got 4-1, 3-0 & 2-1 against Man Utd, Chelsea and Arsenal respectively. It is exactly 'Anything can happen'.

I honestly believe Middlesbrough will lose tomorrow, but only time will tell for certain.

We need to do one thing in particular though. We need to put out this squad;
Schwarzer
Taylor
Woodgate
Pogatetz/Huth
Xavier

Downing
Arca/Rochemback
Boateng
Johnson/Morrison

Viduka
Yakubu

If our squad doesn't fit that, we're fucked. We have so little strength in depth right now. If Southgate plays Cattermole, I will be honestly thoroughly disappointed in him. Cattermole doesn't have the experience to stop Ronaldo without fouling, or giving him an opportunity to look like he has... Boateng does. If we play cattermole on the right, then that's another place they don't have to defend now.

I actually want to see Downing and Johnson on each wing, and swapping places every now and again if they're struggling to break through, so the defenders are always guessing. If you can cause chaos and confusion in a defence, you've as good as scored, really.

LMFAO that really did make me laugh out loud, i know you were probably being serious there with a hint of sarcasm, but that was really funny lol

and oi, thats our tactics lol but you are right, it does work.

I actually think Southgate will put out a 4-5-1 instead of the 4-4-2 ur thinking off, thats only ofcourse if hes learnt his lesson in midweek when he left Viduka on the bench against Liverpool.

We shall see :D

Spurs just about to kick off against Arsenal at WHL

COME ON SPURS!!!!!

Hmm, now this is a tough one to call, isn't it?

I'm going for a draw. I quite like both teams, they both play entertaining football.

As for Boro, I really think we need two strikers. Our strikers don't work on their own, not really.

well me being a Utd fan, despising Arsenal just goes without saying, plus doesnt help that ive grown up kinda supporting spurs aswell as my uncle supports them hehe

half time and Spurs are 1-0 infront, although Arsenal have had some REALLY good chances, the best was probably Adebayor's miss from 6yards out with an open goal lol hehehehehe

OMG grr i hate arsenal, the muppets scored twice in the 2nd half. To be fair i think the way Arsenal played in the 2nd half they deserved to win, BUT BUT BUT thankfully Jenas scored in the 94th minute hehe so ended 2-2, ah well.
