I'm a huge fan of the Bond movies. I'm a big Bond nerd. I especially love the Bond theme songs and I love seeing who they choose each time to sing these coveted tunes. For the upcoming "Casino Royale" I've been hearing that Tina Turner is the frontrunner to sing the song (she of course sang "Goldeneye" 10 years ago). I've also heard Robbie William's name come up as well. Do you like these choices or do you guys think there's someone else out right now you like who should be chosen to sing the next Bond theme?

Female : Dido
Male : Rufus Wainwright

In a dreamworld - ABBA to reform and make it the most memorable "Bond Theme" ever.

Can't help it if I have cheesy taste in music :( :D

Well, whoever it is, it can't be worse than Madonna's pathetic attempt.

Well, what if SHE sang it?

Here's a piece of trivia I bet no one knows:

Ace Of Base was originally supposed to write and record the theme song to GoldenEye. They did, but were pulled out of the project by their then record label in the US. Their original song went completely unheard of until 2002, when they re-wrote the lyrics, changed the title to "The Juvenile", and put it on their album, Da Capo . The song was even released as a single in Germany.

Now, I'm a huge fan of Ace Of Base, but The Juvenile is one of my least favorite songs by them. I've even had the opportunity to hear a clip of the original GoldenEye version, and I think everyone is better off not having had it in the movie.

I would say definately say yes to Michael Buble, but "hells no" to Paul Anka...

I do love the idee of Alanis!!...however, Sheryl's attempt almost put me asleep (and I like Ms. Crow, generally)

Loved Garbage's "the World is Not Enough" Shirley Manson kicks ass

...ps they can do a total left field and ask the Arcade Fire ala "Crown of Love"

Tina Turner would be nice. They may wish to pick a currently hot act to attract a younger audience to Bond.
To quote Sean connery in "Goldfinger": "shocking. Positively shocking."

Dame Shirley Basey is still around.....would be great to have have her do another since she did so well before and they are going back to the "earlier" bond

I read there was this big commotion in the U.K. over something named Goldfrapp rumored to sing the tune. Who is Goldfrapp????? Is this a singer or a group??? Any U.K. guys here can explain?

Isn't that whore supposed to be in it? Paris something?

I also heard Jessica was a possible prosepct for a Bond girl.

As for who's singing, well I wouldn't want either of them so...let's go with Della Reese.

Ummmmmm.....wha???? Paris is not in the movie and they picked the Bond girl months ago. It's Eva Green from Kingdom of Heaven & The Dreamers. The film's pretty much wrapped. Della Reese???? Okay......

goldfrapp consists of two people, alison goldfrapp and will gregory. check out their stuff at www.goldfrapp.co.uk

Tina Turner is apparently recording the new theme tune right now, she joins an elite club now made up of her and Shirley Bassey as the only 2 singers to have sung more than one theme, Shirley has sung 3 apparently, i know of Diamonds are Forever and Goldfinger, not sure of the third.

This was just something I heard about probably a year ago. It probably no longer applies.

As for Della Reese, well, that was just for a laugh.

How about Debbie Reynolds?
