I am still single because I cant find someone who suits me. Sometimes I wonder if I am too. picky!
 
Nope. I ain't single anymore:)

Yet, at times and whenever I need to be, I am.

And so is my BF.

I'm not single by choice, but I accept that I am and always will be and I move on.
 
I am also fairly recently single after a 17 year relationship. It sucks being alone after that. I have had a few bf's since one of who I love very much, he just can't make up his mind if he is gay or not yet. I am giving him some time.

After coming out of a 15+ year relationship, being single is alternately thrilling and boring/depressing. Depends on the day.

Hunky, there's nothing wrong with being picky. Just don't expect perfection. You're not one of those people with a list, are you?
 
After my bf died I was single for two years, the longest of my adult life. I needed to be.

I came to believe I'd be single the rest of my life, and ultimately made peace with that.

A few months later I met my man.

You never know.
 
I met the most wonderful guy but he lives an hour away. Im afraid the distance is too much for one or both of us. Im more than a little pissed about it.
 
At present I'm single. I think it's best for me. I've been in and out of relationships since I was a teenager. My current health would make it difficult to impossible to maintain a stable relationship. Right now, I just wish I had some friends.:( :(
 
I've been single for about six months or so . I really don't like it. I enjoy having someone to talk to in the evenings as we watch tv etc ... I like having someone to cuddle up to in bed or even on the couch ... I miss being with someone.
However; the reason I am still sngle is for my own age and looks ... I'm just very difficult to please ....

I like to think that I am nice. Unfortunately, for health (bad back) reasons, I'm afraid any kind of relationship would be very difficult. Sex, for one thing, would be extremely restrictive, and that certainly wouldn't be fair to a partner. Since I'm all but house-bound, it wouldn't be much fun for either of us.
 
I am still single because I'm too selfish. I relish my private time. I do not like people to get so close to me that they start to take me for granted or start second guessing me.
 
I don't want a relationship before i go to uni (in 2 weeks), so i have steered clear for the past few months.

Hope it will change when i get there :D
 
ljk27 - I can relate...

Sometimes, occasionally, it can be lonely, but I do have a lot of good friends...and I do not lack for sexual interaction...and I enjoy being able to be independant and control my own destiny while being beholden to no-one.

Is that selfish?

Well, maybe...but it's me - and I'm quite happy with me...
 
I still single because for as long as I can remember only one or two guys have ever shown any interest in me what so ever, but no one has ever made any sort of a move at me. And I don't have enough balls to do anything myself. I have being single, but it is my own fault, cause I never really put myself in any sort of positions actually meet anyone.
