Why I recomend avoiding activeduty.com

Hey guys, this is just my opinion, but I joined Active Duty.com today because he has alot of hot models.

What a complete waste of time and money. The pictures are miniscule, and show very little (hehe) everything on the site is an ad to buy videos (much like the lame Bel Ami site)

If I am going to put out $25 I expect to see some content not just tons of ads.

The site is littered with dead links, and even some of the lame-ass tiny photos are dead linked.

This is just one person's opinion, but I wouldn't give this thief another dime. I immediately canceled my membership.

With so many great sites out thereit is a shame that there are still money-grubbing sheisters like Active Duty and Bel Ami that charge you money to see commercials.

I will stick with corbinfisher and Chaos Men and the "good guys"

If this thread keeps one of you from wasting your money I will be happy.

You are allowed your opinion, i find it helpful actually as i was consider joining, but i think you'll find there are alot of pro-Active Duty jubbers around. So be prepared for some backlash

I feel the same about cfnm.net. Very few videos

I've belonged to all the above mentioned sites at one time or another. AD has always been one of my favorites and I'm a bit surprised at the assessment. Since I haven't belonged for some months now, maybe it's changed and I didn't know it.

Chaos Men has a good mix of guys. I like hot, average, in shape guys like you'd see around town, not pretty boy perfect model types. BB has the same mix of average guys, but with a little more scruffiness to them.

Randy Blue is my favourite. It's really good value for money. You get at least two or three uploads a week plus twice-weekly live web shows. I think they have the hottest models with Chris, Reese, Braden, Xander, Blake and Levi.

I also have belonged to most of those already mentioned. But for me to join a site, not having DRM is the most important. No site can be on their game week after week after week. So having the opportunity to keep some favorite videos from each site is also important. I don't think most can belong to every site out there, so I like the flexibility to move from site to site, and I give a lot of credit to those owners, ex. CF, CM, BM to name a few, who are comfortable with themselves to not use DRM. Those that use it, IMO are insecure and thus drive down each model to it's members, whether you like them or not. And if you don't, tough shit, you can't keep any of the videos unless you pay every month. If anyone knows of other sites that don't use DRM, please let me/us know. Thanks.

Thank you i said the same thing. THe videos are not good horrible quality you can only steam them also. I want to be able to download them and watch them over and over

I have to agree with the original poster. I went into it thinking I'd be able to watch his latest...or any of his videos and you simply can't

Subscribing gives you the option of a 3 minute preview of the movies, you can't actually watch them. He has a video of the week section which is about 7 or so older movies. Other than that, there's nothing worth paying the money for in my opinion.

I'll admit I didn't like not being able to download when I belonged. I hate streaming because I like to skip around in the videos. In the 'videos of the week' however, Dink has started posting the current video release, usually in parts over several weeks.

Hey guys...just for the record, I like the content, there are plenty of hot guys.
I was just very disappointed by the quality and quantity of pix, and the lack of any substantive video.

I was a member of bukbuddies, and thought the site was pretty darned good-if you want my opinion. At some point I may rejoin to catch up on the newer stuff.

And another thing since you (didn't) ask, I fully support paying for content as opposed to "cheating" through free downloads, but when I get burned by the greedy sites-I see why some guys go for the free stuff.

I joined cf as soon as it went DRM free (MacUser) and like Chaos Men because he brought the world the most important name in porn....Zack Randall. I keep quitting cm but then as soon as Zack throws his legs in the air on the site I join right back up again!

I've seen some great Active Duty stuff from the videos that I've rented pay-per-view, but have never joined the site. Was actually thinking about it, but this post is making me think twice.

I would have to highly disagree with this thread. I was a member of MANY sites, just as Next Door Buddies (the whole network), randyblue, CF, SC, fratmen, fratpad, and many others. Out of all of them I enjoyed AD the most. I loved the archived web cam chats (hundreds of them?), as well as the videos. The whole movies are streaming (6+ new ones each week (or cycled?)), but the video clips section is Quicktime which you are able to save (File-> Save page as...). Plus the pictures were of the web cam chats AND general photo shoots. I do not have my membership any longer, but I held it for a few months and do not regret a second of it. (God I loved that site, but I'm too poor to afford a membership right now >_<)

I have found Active Duty pretty reasonable. It has the content I am looking for. Between 6-8 complete video films, video clips, live cam archives as well as a video streaming option that offers at least another 40 streaming videos each month. Although, I miss Luke so badly.

AD is my all time favorite. Other sites have hot guys too and I don't have a military/uniform fetish, but AD, its models, vids, etc. just do it for me. Well worth the money considering what all you get each week, even if you can't download the weekly videos.

If people don't like our material, fine.... but to say that the site is an ad for buying DVDs is just about the most ridiculous thing I have heard, by far the majority of content on the site is only available only online.
Not using DRM would also be great for us and most other sites, saving a lot of time and effort in preparation.... if only people would not then post it all over the web. But sadly that is not the case and DRM is the only thing we have at the moment to try and keep some control over the material and ensure that we have revenues to keep producing more material. Flash streaming also helps, but as most of you prefer download to streaming, there are few choices available.

As for AD, almost the opposite of Bel Ami and if you like the type of material I think the content is great.

I appreciate the heads up...but as youdontknow says...I am sure there will be some backlash but at least we can make up our own minds but certainly thank you for your perspective
