This is one of the most disgusting and sordid cases I've ever read about.
New Berlin - A former New Berlin Eisenhower student was accused Wednesday of a pattern of manipulation and deception using the social networking site Facebook to coerce male schoolmates into sexual encounters.

Anthony R. Stancl, 18, posing as a female on Facebook, persuaded at least 31 boys to send him naked pictures of themselves and then blackmailed some of the boys into performing sex acts under the threat that the pictures would be released to the rest of the high school, according a criminal complaint.

Apparently he was into kid-porn too:
More than 300 naked photos and movie clips of New Berlin boys and another 600 professionally made pornographic movies of children were found on the computer, which had been confiscated during the bomb threat investigation, Schimel said. The photos and movie clips were separated into 39 folders that were labeled using the boys' names or screen names.

The full story is here.

wow that's pretty screwed up.

Re: WI kid defrauds, blackmails other boys into se

What's interesting is that current legal theory holds that kids under the legal age can't possibly consent to sexual acts. We have here one underage person manipulating other underage persons, but if none of them can be capable of consent, who can we blame?

Actually the perp here is 18, and was at the time of the (I suppose I should say alleged) offenses.

But, in keeping with the American principle of treating teenagers as whichever of "adult" or "child" is most to the disadvantage of the teen, with total disregard for consistency or fairness, underage kids are treated as adults when they're perps, but not when they're victims. There was a kid who was prosecuted as an adult for selling naked pictures of himself, because he was underage.

Yes, the phrase 'American justice system' is an oxymoron. We have a law system, not a justice system.

However, in this case it's quite right to prosecute the perp. If the allegations are true, he victimized other kids to their great detriment.

Yet if he had been 17, and his victims were college students, they'd have been prosecuted.

In the phrase "criminal justice system", "criminal" describes the kind of "justice" we get.

Yeah, I wasn't disputing prosecuting him, just pointing out a stupidity.

I'm all for reforming the laws concerning sexual predation, specifically in cases of statutory rape where an 18-year old yet to graduate HS is charged by family of 17 or younger significant other simply because the family has an axe to grind.

Or, the ever popular "got caught peeing outside" indecent exposure crime. That gem lands you on the list as well. Which is odd, considering how many people get wrapped up for that in the Quarter. I think the police here just file it under "drunk and disorderly", and leave it at that.

Yeah, Megan's Laws are a good example of what happens when people make laws based on emotion or political expediency instead of sound judgement.

Did you see that the president of the university where "The Naked Mile" has been a tradition for ages threatened to have them all arrested under Megan's Law if they do it this year?
I read another case recently where a guy who scratched himself "suggestively" at an all-ages clothing optional beach got charged under that law, too.

The whole thing is ridiculous; I know of a case where a guy went to a party where off-duty cops were checking IDs; someone slipped something in his drink and he passed out, and he came to with a chick bouncing up and down on his hips, while another one watched. Turned out they were both 14, with fake IDs, that one had doped his drink, and when he went back to a bedroom when he could barely stand, they waited a few minutes, went in and undid his pants, and had been taking turns.
So of course he, being the "adult", was responsible, even though they'd plainly gone to the party to get with an older guy, picked him, drugged him, and were doing their best to get pregnant. At the trial, the judge disallowed all of that, because it was "prejudicial to minors" or some such crap.
So now he registers for life, has trouble finding housing, and can only get shit jobs.

Definitely.
Did you know that in some states, if you own a gun your score on the "predator" sheet is jacked up? You don't have to even have it visible or available, the victim doesn't have to have seen it or been frightened by it; you just have to own it and have it "under your control", which includes if it's in your vehicle, rendered non-functional, unloaded, locked up, and there's no ammo.
I met a guy with over 300 instances of sexual abuse he'd done, and he wasn't listed as a predator, but another guy with only one was.
Then there's the kid whose gf decided to give him herself for a birthday present, which was fine till mom got a whiff of it -- then, with him 18 and her 17, it was off to court.

On a side note: we just elected a president on the basis of emotion, and he's surrounding himself with people who adore Megan's Law and want more like it... like being able to charge parents with abuse if they want to home-school.... ](*,)

Presidents are always elected on the basis of emotion. This time we elected someone out of our better emotions, instead of our base cowardice and xenophobia.

Also, we got someone who thinks before he speaks, admits it when he's wrong, and can talk to foreign leaders without making us ashamed that he's our President.

We also got someone who has lied to us (importantly to me, on the Second Amendment), has nominated someone who believes the U.S. should be subject to U.N. declarations even if they haven't been ratified by the Senate as treaties, has approved health-care rationing, especially for the elderly (in the 'stimulus' package), and has now had three cabinet picks resign.
And so far, his efforts at bipartisanship have been sabotaged by, among others, Pelosi in the House.

Re: WI kid defrauds, blackmails other boys into se

LOL!

Gotta give the kid an A for effort and imagination.

You have a very serious problem if you think that manipulation and coercion deserve anything but an F.

Oh yeah, a kid seeking to embarrass other boys to have sex is just like Al Qaeda.

You totally missed the point of comparison.

Read much? ](*,)

Have you ever heard of a case where a drunken fool was peeing outside when a female cop came up behind him, demanding he put his hands up and turn around slowly? He didn't get to tuck himself away and was charged with sexual assault because of it. Wonder if they would have claimed he was gay if it were to have been a male cop? Anyway, I guess drinking is dangerous.

You could call it that. Or you could call it what it is, which is rape by coercion.

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

If you're not interested in the thread, why not just scroll past it? Coming into it and saying how boring you find it is a) pointless and b) rude.

Re: WI kid defrauds, blackmails other boys into se

I'm not saying the young guy that pulled the stunt is in the right, BUT how stupid are all these kids these days that send pix of their naked selves to other people. Live and learn, please.

They haven't lived yet, so they haven't learned.

Re: WI kid defrauds, blackmails other boys into se

Actually, that was just me editing over a long diatribe I did about how people are over-reacting.

He's a rapist.. yes.. but he didn't do anything that half the members in the Bi and Straight Men forum brag about and get accolades for.

Then I realized I was even boring myself.

Oh. Sorry.

But those people in the Bi and Straight Men forum should all go to prison too, IMO.

Re: WI kid defrauds, blackmails other boys into se

Agreed. The outrage is hilarious.

I've watched the same posters all pant and squeal like puppies over the chance of bagging a "straight boy" while drunk.

*cue outraged, christian, right wing, hypocrite, in 3...... 2......... 1...... *

Wrong on all counts. I think people who do drunks are rapists. I'm not a Christian (never have been). Left wing. Not a hypocrite.
