Wii - Mario Kart

^ Mine has yet to disconnect *crosses fingers* I've heard that you lose a lot of VR if you get disconnected, which is stupid.

I really like my Mii on the Mach Bike. Fast, great on turns, and has a good turbo boost around corners too :)

I just unlocked Dry Bowser today (FINALLY) and holy crap I got a three star rating on the Special Cup in 150cc! :eek:
 
What is VR? Is that your points? I don't think I lost any - if I did I didn't notice.

I haven't got the hang of it on manual yet - not with the steering wheel anyway - can't even remember which button you have to press.

I haven't unlocked him and there's another I haven't unlocked yet - a medium character - I don't know who it is. But blimmin heck you seem to be really good at this game. I haven't played single player much since I got gold in all grand prix.

I don't have Toadette unlocked nor Rosalina. I mean, what the hell is she from anyway? :lol:

There's a couple of courses that I got just an "A" in, and need to get a star rating in and I would have at least a one star ranking in online mode! (!)

Do you actually not know what Rosalina is from? Or were you just joking?

My addiction goes away and then comes back again for some reason.
 
^ Nah, I was just kidding :) (although I do need to buy Super Mario Galaxy...I still don't own it! I'm such a bad Wii owner!)

I don't even use the wheel anymore - hence the no wheel by my name ;)

I love love LOVE using the nunchuck with the Wii controller - it gives me so much more control over the character, instead of the wheel. I don't think I'll ever use it again! What a waste of plastic :lol:
 
I wouldn't say you were a bad Wii owner - although Super Mario Galaxy is a briliant piece of gaming. Nintendo stated they hadn't taken that much of a risk with it and the next one was going to be much more intuitive.

I never noticed the no wheel by your name - it doesn't really matter to me - most of my family use the gamecube controllers over the Wii wheel.

Well at least it was a free waste of plastic for you.
I remember getting my Mario Kart game - take 2 games back and get it for £10. I got rid of Marvel: Ultimate alliance and Super Monkey Ball. I only got them in the first place because I had to buy two extra games to get the Wii. Bloody Virgin megastores!!!
 
^ I still have yet to use a GameCube controller for Mario Kart. I use it for Smash Brothers, but nothing else yet.

Try the nunchuck on manual on a couple time trials. Once you get used to it, you'll never go back! ..|
 
I know I will never go back. That's why I don't want to. I love my Wii wheel!
And I don't want people to think lesser of me for not using one online - you know what people are like. Just thank god it's not on an XBOX and people are yelling down the mic and insulting. Whew.

I don't look down on you since I have used the gamecube controller and the remote and nunchuk combinations myself a few times. Just don't want to get too used to it.
 
I think it's better (obviously LOL) and I've seen people with like, 9000 VR points not using the wheel. So I guess that makes me feel a little better :lol:

If I started using the wheel, I'd most definitely come in about 11th. Possibly 12th. Also, I think I'm past the point of no return to get a "golden wheel" online, since I've used the nunchuck almost exclusively ;)

Yep, the Wii wheel definitely increases your chances of losing a race. That and just the crazy ass pace of the game. I was first until the finish line in so many races tonight it was unbelievable... I would just get done on the line. Not saying the same thing wouldn't have happened had I been using a gamecube controller, of course ;)

What Nintendo game are you hoping to be announced this year Zelda or Mario. I'm hoping for the former.

What time you usually online for Mario Kart, that way when I go on I'll be on more frequently that time too.
