The rumor is nov 12th is the day for launch. It's notthat far away, but would onlybe a week before ps3. I'm hoping late oct early nov.
 
Ive always had it in mind that Wii would come out early November. I wont think otherwise until there's an official announcement.

But I dont think Id buy it at launch anyway, so Ill just wait for next year.
 
I'm waiting impatiently for Zelda Twilight Princess, Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Metroid Prime Corruption...Cant wait.
 
Well this was put up on IGN earlier today but was taken down. It suggest the price and release date for the will from an inside source.

"A number of big-name publishers are set to release their Wii games in mid-to-late October, which suggests that a system debut could not be that far off. And several insiders have told IGN that Tuesday, November 2 could, in fact, be the big day.

Thing is, not all of our contacts are in agreement on the date. Some have suggested that November 12 could, instead, by Wii's launch date. Regardless, though, it seems that Wii fans can look forward to their console sooner rather than later.

Sources suggest that Wii will launch with a $229 price tag and will be available in both black and white.

Insiders claim to have seen final hardware. The Broadway CPU is allegedly in the 750 CL line, a continuation of the 750 GX series. IBM may be working on a revised Broadway chip with a lower clock speed for a future Nintendo handheld -- presumably one that plays GameCube discs.

Nintendo has allegedly bumped production of Wii hardware to 5.5 million units by the end of the year, a significant upgrade to previous numbers. The jump is purportedly based on the positive reaction to Wii from press and industry analysts at E3 2006.

The console is unlikely to be region-free, although the lock is unrelated to hardware; a firmware update could theoretically allow gamers to play import software."

You could pretty much say the same thing about every popular franchise out there. I mean, this IS a nintendo system after all. lol.

Im actually curious about how this MK Armagedon will turn out. I like the MK series.

The Sonic game im not too thrilled about either, but who knows... Ive heard good things about it from the E3 impressions even with its 'rail' system, so maybe it will be a good game.

Im also lookin forward to all t hese new franchises coming. Red Steel, Disaster, Project Hammer and Sadnes... I really wanna play all of those.

Im not too interested in a 360 either, but Id get one if I ever have that HD gaming itch somewhere. But for now Ill stick with Wii.
 
One word...ZELDA!!!! well i guess that was three words..and well that was some more too. Ok an entire paragraph it is :P. I am so excited about the Wii. The system may not be as powerful as what the other companies got but the games still look amazing. I mean the new Rayman game looks AMAZING, graphically anyway. I mean look at Resident Evil on Cube. The gamecube was less powerful then XBOX and PS2 and it was still one of the best looking games on out of all three. But hey I was born a Nintendo fan and I'll die a nintendo fan...well not really I didn't get a Nintendo system till I was about 10 but shhhh we'll keep that to ourselves.
 
Well u know the GC wasnt really the least powerful system. I think the biggest problem was the little discs, that only could hold like 1 Gig and a half. But it was a bit more powerful than PS2 and a bit weaker than the Xbox.

The Wii is obviously nowhere near the power of the PS3. But then again, neither is the DS to the PSP.
 
Yea thats a great picture...its a shame Sony got rid of the boomerang controller...it was the only thing that looked cool about their George Forman Grill look alike system.
 
If the console is $230 or less, I will be content. I think this is the system that will be the best until the PS3 goes way down in price. The Wii just screams enjoyment to me because I can play old nintendo games I haven't played in forever (Contra lol) and new games like Mario Galaxy, SSBB, & Zelda.
