Wolverine & The X-Men

Since when is Psylocke from another marvel universe?

She's not.

Anyway.. I didn't care for the first episode. But others have said the show gets better and better.

To be honest, I was turned off the moment I found out it was called Wolverine and the X-Men.

It's like... Don't we already have three films like that? Do we really need more up front Wolverine... No.. No we don't.

Oh do give the show a chance. Trust me, I too was skeptical but I ended up loving this take on the show. One of the reasons I was highly skeptical was precisely because it was called WOLVERINE and the X-Men but I was pleasantly surprised to see that the show isn't Wolverine-centric at all.
Do watch the entire first season. I can give you links where you can watch it all. ;)

Oh, I haven't given up on the show at all. I just didn't care for the first episode. It wasn't very strong for a series starter. And personally, I'm sick to death of Wolverine.

When Logan still stands out above everyone else in a film that has both the cure story line AND the Phoenix story line... There's something seriously wrong.

Indeed. I felt almost the same about the first episode...I liked it but I was like "Meh...ok!". But it gets so much better, right until the end. And I think the 2nd season's going to be a blast!

I'm also sick and tired of Wolverine but in this show you have only 1 or 2 Wolverine-centric episodes. The rest is pretty much like the early 90's take on the cartoons.

Yeah, I noticed that. The animation style is incredibly similar as well to the old 90's cartoon.

To be honest, I liked the 80s Pryde of the X-Men and X-Men Evolution the best. Evolution was supposed to be continued.. That's why I was shocked and disappointed when I came across... Sigh... WOLVERINE and the X-Men. lmao

I guess things didn't work out with Evolution.

I HATED Evolution. It had some good episodes and a few amazing ones but overall I was incredibly disappointed. Maybe it's 'cause I grew up with the Fox's take on the cartoons when it first aired. I don't know...overall, I didn't like it.

Didn't Pryde of the X-Men only had like the pilot episode? It was cancelled immediately or something right?

Yeah. One episode. But it was just so damn awesome. lol I had it on VHS and watched it every day as a kid.

Evolution I liked because they did their own thing with it.. It didn't follow the comics prudishly. Although I HATED Rogue in it.. who is usually one of my favorite characters.

Oh I know! I also didn't care much for Rogue on this new take on the X-Men. The Rogue from the comics and from the older cartoons was a kickass character! She was awesome!

The movie version of Rogue was awesome though... Well.. had the potential to be incredibly kick ass. But Ratner decided she didn't fit into X3 as much... You know... with there being a cure storyline and her powers restricting her from physical human contact...

Stupid boy.. lol

The movie version? Awesome? Really?!? I hated it. I wanted them to, at least, give her the opportunity to steal the flying and super strength powers. I wanted to see THAT Rogue in action...she was one of the characters I was most curious about how they'd write her. I was really disappointed.

Stupid Boy...that should be the name of a superhero. Has a nice superhero-ish ring to it. :D

Well, who she was as a character was incredibly well done and fit perfectly. Bryan Singer was trying to build her character in the first film and was going to take it to the next level with X3. Buuut Ratner was given X3 and Rogue was never allowed to break out of her cocoon. And don't get me started on Phoenix. ](*,) She was brilliantly done... But hardly used. I figured, HEY, he'll just continue her story into the next film.... Uhhh, wrong.

And that is why I hate Brett Ratner.

Thank you. *bows*

Yes, the building up I understand and agree with IF they would've let her turn into the classic kickass Rogue we grew up with.

Oh don't also get me started on the Phoenix. The most powerful being ever being misused like that. Unforgivable!
There might be another movie though. Did you see the scene after the final credits? *fingers crossed*

Nah, I doubt it. With both the Magneto movie and... wolverine.... movie coming up.. they wont go for an X4.

Personally I think they oughta wait a few years and just reboot the series and do it right.

Hmmm...yeah, maybe that would be wise of them. I'll still remain hopeful about an X4. Done properly, it could be a good one.

Meh.. They already screwed up my favorite story within the X-Men universe. At this point its just like.. whatever.

I assume you're a Phoenix fan...? 'Cause Phoenix is like one of the most kickass characters ever created in comics IMO. Probably my favorite as well. I specially love the Dark Phoenix...damn she was hot, in more than one way...she'd turn me str8, or bi at least.

Phoenix is more than just a favorite character. lol I oughta start a religion around her.

Watching Phoenix rip Alcatraz to a billion pieces for a whopping two minutes in X3 was like.. Heaven for me. As was her destroying her childhood home.. Along with baldy.

Kindred spirits...MARRY ME!!! (!)

Those scenes were she revealed a bit more of her true power made me almost cream my pants. Delicious!
Remember the scene in X3, with Magneto, in the forest where she picks up the gun with the cure using telekenesis? Did you see the deleted alternative scene there? The deleted scene is so much more awesome!

The deleted scene was awesome.. But I liked the needle thing a lot more... It was more of a personal strike against Magneto... He says at one point in the movie that no needle will ever pierce his skin again as he points to the number on his arm or w/e.

When Phoenix ripped the gun apart and threatened Magz with the cure needles.. I was like... Fuck yeah. She was really screwin with his head. And that smile on her face while she was doing it.... DAMN! I love that bitch. lol
