Well, now that you're saying that and that I think about it...it's fit the emotional tone of the scene better. She's a twisted sadistic bitch...she enjoys the head games.

I'm 6 episodes in. I skipped Evolution. This def has that 90's feel to it. The first episode was odd. Maybe I was maying attention but after the explosion did the caption say one year later? Cause when he saw Beast it was like they had never stopped talking. Where was he that year? Did I miss all that?

She's a bad bitch indeed. I loved how the played the Dark Phoenix storyline in the early 90s cartoons. I could watch that time and time again.
 
I barely remember the 90s version of the phoenix saga. I just remember the comic book. I own one issue of an X-men comic and it's the one where Jean transitions into Phoenix. It sits in my room looking all sexy and such.

Dude, go re-watch those episodes again, damn it! They're fucking awesome! I could almost jerk off to those episodes, they're that good!
 
lol I'm sure they are. But nothing will ever beat those few minutes in X3. It's the nearest to Heaven I will ever get. lol
 
I'd say destroying an entire solar system beats those 3 minutes. :p
 
Well there's something about seeing her power in live action that makes me giddy. But was it a solar system? I thought she just destroyed a planet.

I don't remember the details now. I'ma watch it again to check that out.

Btw, there's a revelation much further down the season about what happened in the mansion, in the first episode. :D

Nope...she consumed an entire star making it explode and destroy an entire solar system. She did it like it was nothing. Hell yeah! Rock on!!! :twisted:
 
The entire Phoenix and Dark Phoenix sagas are so awesome in the cartoons. Damn, now I'll have to download the episodes and watch them!
 
While this X-men is good, the early 90s X-Men makes much better use of the Phoenix. You kinda dont see it for too long here considering how important we learn that it is for the story. Its a bit disappointing imo.
 
I'm not loving all of this X-Men EVO hate ;)

yeah...seasons 1 and 2 were lame as hell...but seasons 3 and 4 made up for that and then some.....it was nice to get some new story ideas and not just remakes of the comics with some differences....you can't tell me you didn't love Apocalypse's 4 Horsemen on X-Men EVO

now dont get me wrong...I grew up watching the Fox Kids show too...but after rewatching the series for on Toon Disney (R.I.P...stupid Disney X D), a lot of those episodes were painful to watch...well...not as bad as fox kids Spider-Man cartoon...Insidious ;)

but I'm loving Wolvie and the X-Men...outside of the slow first episode and the boring Weapon X- centric episodes I have no qualms with it

As I said, a few episodes were great...the Apocalypse one's were really good...specially the one you mentioned.
 
I don't know if this was said above but the old fox series in coming out in April. It's 2 separate box sets. I think season one spit in 2? Check it out on Amazon. I loved that fox show. I remember watching every weekend to watch the Phoenix saga.

Yeah that's what I thought. I love Rogue and wanted to see her with superstrength and flight powers but it never happened. Now she doesn't even have those powers in the comics.:(

Blame Brett Ratner for muchin up movie Rogue. Bryan Singer wanted to take her to the next level... But Ratner decided to chop up her character... along with a lot of characters.

Nightcrawler vanished.. Scott died in the first 20 minutes or so. If even. Angel was useless after escaping from his father... Mystique and Rogue were practically non existent for the second half of the film..

Part of me wishes Bryan Singer would just come back and do his version of X3.
