Zane Michaels THREAD

Zane, just don't lose yourself in the false security of fandom. In a way, you sound like you needed/still need their loyalty and attention to think of yourself as a whole person. It's akin to being in a co-dependent relationship, you experienced the worst of it with your own best friend and business partner (tip: never do business with friends!). I believe the best you can do in life to not fall apart is to be able to walk away from anything without falling apart. That doesn't mean you shouldn't be nice to your fans, just be cautious and courteous and watch your words. In this day and age, everything you say can and will be used against you on- or offline.

As for this whole G4P hullabaloo, just stop telling people what you are, keep them guessing because once you choose a side the shit hits the fan. You seem to be doing something right, just don't overdo it, keep your distance (also emotionally) and business should be as usual.

Actually Zane, can I ask you something? I have a couple of AZ videos that I adore. The scene in the kitchen where you're making toast and Austin surprises you (and bends you over the counter), and also, the Valentines Day video with you both in white boxers (that was nice), with the candles and rose petals around the bed. The look on your face, it seemed like you were enjoying those encounters (and you bottomed both times, although I doubt you'd need reminding :)). It's just, when you said that you sometimes feared bottoming or didn't enjoy it, it's so hard to reconcile that with the kissing and touching and what-looked-to-be-quite-obvious erotic pleasure on your face during those scenes.

litper, jesus, give it a rest.

Does anyone else get the feeling that litper protests too much? I'd be more than willing to put fifty bucks on the fact that litper's wife came home one day and found him with her favourite dildo shoved ten inches up his butt. He's so overcome with guilt and self-hate, he takes it out on anything G4P-related because it validates his own shamed feelings of himself, and that's why he can't deal with it? He's just sad and deeply insecure. My other theory was that the cute guy who sits across from litper in his Chem 101 class shot him down with, "Sorry dude, I'm straight", and litper has developed a fanatical hatred of guys who claim they're straight (because any hot guy must be gay, and obviously wants litper as much as he wants them, but is obviously just in denial about it). Anyway, never mind.

Awesome - Litper was banned. I thought his negativity was over the top rude. Glad to see him go.

I have to say, Zane, you're much more articulate and circumspect in this thread than in that book of yours. I get that you were very upset about how Austin did you, but wow, it really came off like you were missing the way he...did you. (You really needed a proofreader and an editor.)

In hindsight, I wish I would have taken the time to give the book a proper ending. I was rushing to close it up as I was really just trying to close that chapter of my life as quickly as I could (at the time). I've toyed with the idea of re-releasing it with an extended ending with how things really transpired after my departure as there is way more to add to the story. Truth is, back then I needed him to be a friend and a business partner. I like to pretend like I would have been happy with just having the friendship, but the fact that he couldn't take our business seriously and make it a priority in his life would have ruined any friendship that was left. So I needed both which he couldn't do. Perhaps I was holding onto a time when life was easier before the business but now, with time away and some other events have occurred, I can finally see clearly what was always clouded by my goals for the business.

Yes, per our contract, my publisher was supposed to edit the book and since this was my first time, I just assumed that was going to happen- obviously, it did not. As I stated before, towards the end, the book got really messy which was a true reflection of what I was going through at the time.

To answer your question, I haven't really been tempted at all, I've received a few offers to do scenes for some other companies, but I've mostly just been trying to enjoy this down-time for as long as I can lol

The best part about no longer owning a company, I can truly say how I feel and I don't have to worry about how it's going to affect the fantasy or the sales. I did my best to paint on a smile when things were going poorly, but now I can freely express my thoughts!

The ironic thing is that the kitchen scene was 1 of my least favorite scenes I've ever done. It was actually shot in the evening, we were both exhausted, the lights kept blowing, and for whatever reason (angle?) it hurt like hell! I was so unhappy with it that after the scene, I was worried we were going to have to scrap the footage so it was funny that the scene was a lot of people's favorite scene. The Valentine scene was something that we spent the most time on (not counting an additional hour for resetting when we almost burnt the house down!) but it did go rather smoothly after that was taken care of. I was really proud of how that scene turned out- one of my top 5 for sure.

Good to know you can tell the difference. But don't go too far, just because you *can* tell the world in 160 characters how you feel doesn't mean you *should*. Sleep over it and see if you still want to say what you wanted to say. ;)

On a little side note, about 5 years ago I would give my opinion in every thread of the forums I frequented, but nowadays, even if I had something to say, I usually end up not replying at all. Even writing this I wasn't even sure if I'd end any of the sen

Oh. Well, I'm sorry you didn't enjoy filming the scene. But I can promise you I enjoy watching it :). I think the appeal is because it has that element of realism, a quicky in the kitchen by two (people who are acting as) lovers, if you know what I mean. I like scenes when the top is dominant (without being violent or aggressive), and the scene has that element to it as well.

Ah, candles, eh? :) Still, it was a good scene, and I love the part where you're on your side, and he's lying on his side behind you. Very sexy, and it looked like you were both definitely in the moment, as it was.

Wow. Awesome things do happen if you hope and dream ..| .

Zane, what are the chances of your posting a photo of you and your twin together?

You had originally said that you planned to have him on AZ site as a guest. I would have loved to have seen that and I can visualize so many scenarios where the two of you double team and double penetrate.

Don't go there. Think about next Thanksgiving!

I think that's against the law over here.

OMG. Zane has a twin?! I'd love to see!!!!

In response to the reality show talk, you will actually get to meet some of my crazy family on a new reality show on TLC!

Really? Are you allowed to tell us which one? Will you or your twin make any appearances on it?

I'm wondering if having had sex on camera has affected the way you now act in your everyday life? Are you more comfortable getting naked, for example -- the first to volunteer for strip beer pong or streak through a party, go skinny dipping, take a bet with risque consequences, etc.? (Or, conversely, were you always comfortable getting naked, which made it easier to then do it on camera?)

I guess I have a mental image of you always being the life of the party and constantly getting naked, which may be far from the truth. That said, any photos you want to share with us would always be most appreciated.

Yea, I was actually pretty shy growing up. Doin porn made me more confident in myself and also gave me a reason to get into the best shape of my life!

Like that you've come out of your shell. And like the new physical too. You could just say that I like Zane. I am really just hoping that you find a new outlet for your talents that we can enjoy also. Am also looking forward to the future your very successful "My Life After Porn" book also. Will always be supportive.
