My Nets are out of the playoffs and the Knicks have been out of their minds for awhile now....might as well support the best,so go San Antonio!:D

Though in a couple of years and the Nets move to Brooklyn, hearing that they may make huge effort to sign friend of Nets part owner Jay-Z...Lebron James,so maybe two years until relevance!;)

about damn time!

Spurs' Ginobili beats out Suns' Barbosa for sixth man award

San Antonio Spurs guard Manu Ginobili — good enough to be a starter on about any team — won the NBA's sixth man award given to the league's best reserve on Monday.

Ginobili led the Spurs in scoring, averaging a career-high 19.5 points to go with 4.8 rebounds and 4.5 assists. Ginobili came off the bench in 51 of the 74 games he played this season.

"I really don't care about coming from the bench if that helps the team to win a championship," Ginobili said.

flat. that's all i can call the 0-2 effort of my spurs.

i honestly don't know what the hell is wrong with them all of a sudden. they're playing like timid mice!

i hope i'm wrong but i have a bad feeling that we're going to loose this series.

I'm rooting for these current teams still in the playoffs:

West:

LA Lakers: It pains me to say this since I am a Coloradan and I've hated the LA Lakers in the past because of the very biased officiating they always got, but this year, they've had to actually earn the calls they get (for a good portion). Gasol is also one of my favorite players, so I'm rooting for them. Kobe isn't as big an asshole anymore, so that's a plus.

New Orleans - Smart Chris Paul and the very well balanced team attack makes it hard not to root for the underdog. No one really expected to see them make the playoffs, let alone their record. It's no fluke.

Spurs - I'd root for them, but they are playing New Orleans, so no.
I think the Spurs are going to lose this series too.

East

Detroit - Chauncey Billups, that's all I got to say about that.

I don't like any of the other Eastern teams since Washington and Atlanta got eliminated.

^ god, i hate the lakers.

but i agree with you over new orleans. they are that good.

and for some reason i just can't root for any team in the east.

but that's just me.

LOL

Nor can you root for any team that's just north of you and in the same state!

this is true. neither can i root for any team north east of me.

i bleed silver and black. ;)

woo hoo!!! just as i was getting to write off this season my spurs remind me why they are champs!

damn if that wasn't a good game! its only one game but its stopped the skid. if we can spank the hornets on sunday we'll tie up the series!

this game is historic for a couple of reasons. 1) the spurs have never come back before from an 0-2 deficit in the playoffs and 2) robert horry has just tied kareem abdul-jabbar's 237 playoff games! that's the most nba games played in the post season. :D

Most of this discussion has been interesting but meaningless.

When this is all over the NBA champs are the Detroit Pistons.

oh my goodness! lots of great basketball today.

the jazz smacked the lakers and the spurs evened up with the hornets! lots of fun! :D

the pistons have eliminated the magic from the eastern conference!

*mutter*
*grumble*
*gripe*

well, i fully expect the spurs to win game six and force a seventh.

Well the Spurs sure did,99-80 over New Orleans led by the efforts of Tim Duncan,Manu Ginobili and Tony Parker and a really tough defense!..|

Pistons tie up the series 1-1 by beating the Celtics for their first playoff loss (but not their last) in Boston

I am stunned my Detroit Pistons are out of it

and I am stunned the Spurs are out of it

and at this point it is a giant "who cares" for me, I will not watch any of the games now

^ Not for me! This is a matchup for the ages: Celtics and Lakers fighting once more for a Championship Title!
