Who's your team and what would you like to gripe about?

I'm kind of angry. The Pistons are going to resign Tayshaun Prince. Just when I thought he was going to be gone for good. I personally can't stand Tayshaun and I don't know why they would offer him a 4 year 27 million dollar contact.

Personally, I think that a lot of the older players on the Pistons are self entitled assholes. I'd like to see Rip leave too. That's not going to happen. We practically tried to give him away last season but nobody wants that contract.

Then there's this amnesty clause that Tom Gores has decided he doesn't want to use. WTF? IDK why he wouldn't at least want to get rid of Ben Gordon or Charlie Villanueva's contract. Maybe he doesn't want to pay them to go play for someone else.

And they're still trying to find a way to resign Rodney Stuckey? Why? You were wrong about him Joe D. He's not even an all-star caliber player! Don't throw more money at these mediocre basketball players. What the hell is wrong with you? I was a fan of Joe Dumars as the general manager, but man has he made some bad decisions. Letting the players get out of control and start disrespecting the coaches. Firing Larry Brown (okay maybe that had more to do with the late Bill Davidson but still.) Firing Flip Saunders who I think is a great coach. Trading Chauncey for an aging POS Allen Iverson. Hiring Michael Curry who I fucking hated as a player and hated more as a coach. Hiring and firing John Kuester who's name I just had to look up even though he was the coach for 2 years (I think). And I'm not a really big fan of Lawrence Frank either. Maybe it's because he coached the Nets. I wasn't a fan of the Nets back then.

Oh, and also he drafted Darko. But lets not get into that.

I think that I've made it clear that I'm a Pistons fan. I hate most of the players on the roster, I'm kind of upset with our new owner and I'm officially off the Joe Dumars bandwagon. Go 2011-2012 season!

Maybe someone can help me understand why David Stern vetoed this trade between the Rockets, Lakers and Hornets? I can't think of a good enough reason.

Houston would get a star player in Gasol. Lakers would get a star in Paul. Hornets would get Odom, Scola and Kevin Martin? I know that Odom is the only one that people talk about, but if you watch the NBA (and I'm sure that David Stern does) you know that Scola and Martin are nothing to sneeze at. That would be a great deal for the Hornets. That would be a great deal for all the teams involved. I just don't get it. I'm not even a fan of any of those teams. I use to take Sterns side on a lot of matters, this is something else though. There's something fishy going on here. I no longer trust that guy.

Haha. No more mister nice guy. Chauncey will not be treated like this!

After being waived by the Knicks:

“I just don’t deserve the treatment that I’ve continually gotten...”

“I want my freedom. My goal is to control my own destiny. And as you’ve seen in my career, I’ve never been in a position to do that. I know some teams out there are saying, ‘Oh, Chauncey will be great in mentoring’ and I’m tired of that. I’ve got a few good years left to play, and I’m not trying to come in and sit on the bench, or be a mentor. I’m not going to be that guy. I want to go somewhere and win. I want to choose.”

If this were any other player in the league, I would call him a crybaby. Chauncey is one of my favorites, so I'm a little bias. Somehow I don't think that this is going to go over well with a lot of people.

Sooo. the season will be starting today...I wonder who will care?

You and me, sir. I think that's it. Haha.

I wanted to watch the Clippers tonight. I was setting up a TV stand that I got for xmas though and I'm stupid so it took quite a bit and I missed all of it :( I look forward to the Clippers this season though. I love Chauncey (fav player in NBA) Chris Paul and nerd curly hair (I forgot his name but I like him!)

Blake Griffin? Hard to forget that guy when he's bringing down NBA arenas with every dunk.

Worked for an NBA team last year as an intern, unfortunately don't have the same job this year. Hoping to make a bunch of stops...already went to Cleveland for their home opener vs the Raptors, planning on going to Toronto, New York, New Jersey, Atlanta, and Charlotte at some point this season. I went to an Oklahoma City playoff game last year and that was awesome too, would like to get there if it makes sense.

THe only saving grace for the NBA is that the strike didn't cancel the season. If it had...it would have a taken a long, long time for it to bounce back to what it was.

I'm loving the season already! Go Raptors :)

Anyone else surprised by Eric Gordon?!

I'm expecting him to do pretty good in NO this season. If I had a fantasy team this year I would definitely want him for his points. NO got a pretty good deal for Chris Paul. David Stern is still an asshole POS but good deal none the less.

And although it's possibly too early to tell, Dallas be strugglin' without a brick shithouse for a center...

Losing Chandler was a big blow to them. They have a decent bench though. They should start to pick up as the season goes on. I'm thinking that to get a lot of wins this season, you're either going to have some young legs in your starting line up, or a solid bench to help out when your veterans get tired of back to backs. Also, if I'm not mistaken, I think that Dallas has a history of slow starts to the regular season.

Either way, my Pistons will be terrible. Knight had a pretty good game the other day. Maybe he will give me a good reason to watch them.

sooo... Kevin Love is kicking ass again this year, averaging like 25/15. Fuckin insane... he also looks ravishingly beautiful with that 20+ pounds he shed over the lockout

As a Jazz fan I was planning on taking this season off. However, somehow we have managed to be pretty decent so maybe I will have to get back into it. Will give it a few more weeks before I buy any tickets though.

He is looking pretty good these days. I was thinking that same thing.

sorry 'bout your pistons... at least they ain't Charlotte...

the raptors are doing quite well considering andrea bargnani's injuries. He's actually playing like an all-star this year :)

Yeah, I'm actually getting kind of angry every time they win now. I want them to rebuild through the draft. Although, I don't really trust Joe D's eye for talent.

Wow..that Jeremy Lin came out of nowhere!

Heard Floyd Meriwethers comments on Jeremy Lin. Apparently, the NBA is the only group on earth where people arent clamoring for "diversity".
