I can only take dicks up to about 6 inches; after that it feels as though it hits a blockage [or bend in my gut], and then it's painful.

Using more lube doesn't help; and I have tried with a dildo but also can't get it in more than 6 inches.

I would really like to take a longer dick. So, any suggestions on how to straighten out my insides to take 7 or 8 inches

That is just with experience. You need to relax and take it slow. Your probably hitting you internal sphincter muscle and in order to get past that you really need to stop trying to get past it in a hurry. Using poppers might help loosen the muscle.

The anus leads backwards into the rectum, which is only a couple inches long before it makes a turn into the sigmoid colon. In some people, this fexure is more flexible and farther back, allowing them to more comfortably accomidate a larger penis. For others, their internal anatomy limits the size of the penis they can take analy.

Furthermore, your internal and external sphincter muscles are only a few centimeters apart from eachother, so that is certainly not the case. As far as sensation is concerned, all of the nerves responsible for the pleasure derived from anal sex are located within the first inch or so of your rectum. That pain you are feeling by pushing to far isnt something that should be readily medicated away or ignored, damage to your internal organs can be life threatening.

The curious thing is that the rectum is between 5-6 inches long in most adult males. But you have to add an inch for the gluteal muscle (aka buttcheek), so most guys can easily take a 6-7 inch penis or dildo without any problems.

What sometimes is a problem is that the rectum is slightly curved upward and from the anus, it points toward the belly button. So, if the angle is not correct it will feel like you are bumping up against something. It might take a different position for things to hit at the right angle. What appears to be a closed portion is actually where the colon takes a turn to the left.

#6 on the picture is the coccyx or tailbone of the spine. When the rectum reaches this point, it joins the sigmoid colon at an angle.

Here's what it looks like if you were looking at the person's front (the right side of the picture is the left side of the person's body):

The cadaver image that you asked about is a sagittal view. In the picture above, if you placed a knife on the "L" in the word "Large" at the bottom and sliced upward, you would cut the rectum in half and it would appear to end because the sigmoid colon is to the side of where you made the cut.

That's what you're seeing- the rectum is visible in the cadaver photo but the sigmoid colon is in the part that was cut away.

Yes, don't try that at home. It illustrates that the colon is able to accommodate some pretty big things (but that keeping it down to a normal sized penis is probably a good idea).

I don't consider myself a size queen but I luv length. I got my first dildo (7") and tried to get it all the way in. But I hit the wall also. Ok so I did read the above posts and I no one's explained what this wall is. Is it a valve? A turn? And the quote above states there's another wall after the one that's 7in deep. So how deep is this second wall? Because I'm 3/4in bigger than my boyfriend and he says mine goes deeper and hits another wall his can't.
