Erm, okay. I've watched the video and read the article. I wouldn't even say that I was underwhelmed.

Or, do they mean that they are fishing for celebrity status?

This is the kind of shit that makes people suspicious of the parents of 'trans kids'. I don't like it.
 
Since the fact appears to have been overlooked, the filmmaker met the fathers on the Human Rights Campaign’s Parents for Transgender Equality Council before the fishing trip was organized. In other words, the men were already active in transgender rights. Whoever and however the fishing and the filming was arranged, this was NOT somebody just creating something that didn't already exist for the political or sensational effect it would create. The transphobes are causing enough harm without us doing their dirty work for them. I take this film as a sincere effort to do something good.
