Sunday I ran a half marathon and with all the pledges from my family and my friend I raised $5550.00 for the American Cancer Society. They pledged on my miles and my time. I ran the race in 1:24:15 which I was very happy about. So it was a great day.

That is awesome! You are a terrific guy, sherman!

Just out of curiosity, has anyone you love been touched by cancer? Was that a driving force for you?

My Dad passed away with Kidney Cancer last December it was a ugly battle that I would not anyone to go through.

Sorry to hear that. My dad died of cancer, too.

I'm glad you're channeling your energies for that cause. You have done a really, really wonderful thing. No one can thank you enough for what you've done.

Good job! ..|

Congratulations! That was time very well spent!!

Hey, thats a noble thing you did Sherman. I've lost loved ones to cancer so I really appreciate it.

Sherman, as a current cancer patient I cannot find words adequate enough to say thank you for your hardwork and for doing something so selfless. There is so much more that needs to be learned in this field of medicine to if not rid ourselves of this insidious disease, then to make it much more treatable, surviveable and to make the treatment more human and accessible to all.

Great big Jubonian hugs to you and a big ole kiss on the cheek. I am thankful and proud of you to take and experience that was so negative and use it for a greater good.

Steve

I've worked in radiation therapy for cancer treatments for the past 15 years. I have always supported the American Cancer Society since it is part of my field. I hope for the day when a cure can be found for more cancers. I would gladly give up my career when that day comes.
