So, here's the thing everyone,the man I love thinks I'm in love with JUB--

I can't really deny it--my post count gives me away! But he thinks that it is abnormal, that I would be better off reading a book or watching TV. He thinks I'm addicted. I disagree. I think JUB is much more fun than those other things! So how do I appease my Bf and still enjoy myself here on JUB? Help,please!!

What kind of books do you like to read? I can give you some ideas if you let me know what your interests are?

Well, tonyboy, thanks for the caring, but in spite of the JUB addiction, I still read one or two books a week. Just today I bought "In The Company Of The Courtesan", a great historical novel about the Renaissance, so I don't really think I'm lacking in litrerary material--I am a bookworm as well as a computer geek. I thinks it's more about something else, but I'm not sure what. Any ideas? I do have to say my BF comes first, but how do I find a balance?..|
 
He's right.

JUB is addictive and can be detrimental to your intelligence and relationships. Stick to books, as long as they're non-fiction, biographical and filled with words that have more than 3 syllables
 
I don't really like non-fiction--life is too much in my face as it is. Give me a thick historical novel anyday! They tend to put things into more perspective.
 
Hey bootyboi, maybe he got the idea you're addicted because it says JUB Addicts under your screenname. Since you're over 1000 posts, you can customize that if you want...to, Not addicted, or MYOB, or anything you'd like!

Seriously, sometimes these things do get addicting. Do you think you spend too much time on here? At the sacrifice of other noteworthy things? Your partner evidently does, but is that true or is he uncomfortable with you participating on a gay porn site?

Historical novels are great, btw! Let us know what you like.
 
I guess it would depend on what he is basing his comments on? Is it just your post count or when you are out with him do you say I got to get home and check JUB?
How long do you spend on JUB a day? Does he get ignored because you are on JUB?

I have roughly the same post count as you and I really don't consider myself a JUB addict.

Hey,guys, thanks for all your feedback. It seems that we will solve this dilemma as we always do, that is with a little bit of compromise on both of our parts. I'm trying to spend a little less time on the computer, and he's trying to be more tolerant when I do go online. I must admit I was spending hours at a time on JUB,mostly playing with my friends in the Fun and Games forums (Hi,everyone! You rock!). My bf had to admit that I have a right to stimulate my mind in any way that I wish. So things are better all around. I do ,however, still object to the idea that my time spent on JUB is Categorized as some kind of addiction. If I spend the same amount of time reading a book no one calls me a book addict!! What's the difference?:wave: ..| ;)

Note I aint saying you should give up jub permanently.

But do give it up for a week. It will be a change of pace and that is always good for people :)
