I was born in 1957. DARPA dates from 1958.

I knew nothing about DARPA until one of its development partners, Boston Dynamics, released a "dancing robot' video back in 1998. Well here I am in 2025 and the dancing bot videos kinda look the same. The reason could be dancing bots are fun. But what is state-of-the-art robot development today? Not sure I want to know, maybe you don't either!

When DARPA does make the news its treated almost like its no big deal.

A navy drone ship, US X-1 Defiant, is in Everett, Washington. Military developments don't usually catch my attention, but now I'm wondering - what else is out there I don't know about?

I'm going in circles: DARPA > Orion Consortium, or, Orion Consortium > DARPA?

You see, all the various tech development partnerships fall under the U.S. Cyber Command - but not really!
Worldwide tech orchestration is like herding cats. To make order out of chaos, U.S. Cyber Command created, "Constellation", to establish a secured agreement among all partners to comply with project goals.

Maybe I've watched too many science fiction movies, but all this gives me an uneasy feeling.
When I ask, "what is state-of-the-art in robotics or weapon systems", no one online knows - how could anyone "outside" really know?
