A simple yes or no answer: XP or Vista?

Yes, I chose xp afterall. I was afraid it did not work, besides, my memory is only 512. And as you guys mentioned, it requires at least 1giga.

Do you people who claim Vista is loaded with bugs even have Vista??? I've been running it for months now, and I don't get errors, blue screens of death, anything. Smooth like butta.......yep, it sure is.

I find Vista to be more stable than XP......but that's my personal opinion.

Now the animated cursor thing, issue there but I haven't had it happen to me. But I don't browse to a lot of 2nd-rate sites either. I know where I'm browsing to.

VISTA!!!

The only problems i've had is software compatibility... and thats been very rare and usualy an vista release was available for download..

i'm getting vista soon ... i'm a little scared ... but if anything wrong happens ... i have a backup of xp ... and my files ... so hopefully all will be well ...

At this stage I think anyone given a choice by a PC manufacturer should go with Vista. Microsoft will end support for XP and then you will eventually have to upgrade anyway, and you will end up paying for it then when you could have just bitten the bullet and had it for free. It's a mistake to go with XP now. But, of course that's just my opinion, and we know what everyone says about opinions........ :-)

Been running Vista for two months now without problems. Yeah, the x64 version of it has driver and software compatibility issues, but the 32bit version works just fine.

Can't see myself going back to XP to be honest.
