Who says that you have to pick sides?

I'm sick of reading Gaga's thread and seeing people referring to "Hold It Against Me" as a done-to-death retread.

I'm sick of reading Britney's thread and seeing people referring to "Born This Way" as an unimaginative rip-off.

This is a safe haven for those of us who have love and respect for both Mother Monster and the Princess of Pop.

neither song is worth a second of your time.

Taking a glance at your other posts, it looks as though you listen to pretentious hipster indie rock bands who think that being unpopular somehow makes you more talented. Maybe you should create a thread for them and post in there instead of derailing MY thread. Thanks. :)

A Britney stan since 1998.

I like Gaga circa 2007-2008. Her last album was good but I didn't like the image. I love her songs though.

I don't understand stan wars. At all. ](*,) The amount of time, energy, and words spent looks so bad on both sides. Anyhow...

My initial reaction to both "Born This Way" and the video for "Hold It Against Me" were the same: underwhelming, over-hyped. But the more I listened/watched, the more I enjoy. BTW has a very positive message worth putting out there; HIAM leaves the viewer to interpret what it all means.

Born This Way is really great. It's a little less Gaga than I thought it would be, but some change/progression is good too.

And Hold It Against Me is just fantastic. It had to grow on me after like... the second time I heard it, but now I'm in love with it. The story behind the music video is also pretty great. Made me appreciate it and Britney much more.:-)
