A very important question...

"I think tomorrow is a "Say Something" hat day."

What IS the fascination with Aretha Franklin's hat?

Well...For the first time Aretha was seen in public looking "decent" and quite lovely. Usually she wears a "Todler T-Shirt" or some strapless number with her Tits hanging down to her waist..

all i know is that my galactus hat is way cooler than aretha's hat.

The hat was sassy & charming all rolled into one shining moment.............the swearing in of The President of the United States of America.............

But....

It's just a hat.

I'm confused.
Many considered it garish and over-the-top. As a result, it's been mocked.

Americans love to mock garish hats in the same way they mock the aristocrats who wear all the garish hats at Ascot each year. It's a favorite past time.

As was said earlier above, it was the first time she had been in public singing and was dressed tastefully...including the hat. Have you seen some of the stuff she's worn lately on stage? If sparked a resurgence in hats for women like crazy. The occasion called for her to look serious and she did, but with style. I commend her stylist for steering her in the right direction

I remember being dumb struck when I saw that hat in the film. I always wondered why she needed a parasol as well; as that hat could have cast a shadow over the whole of the race course.
