Right, so over the last couple of weeks I've dropped about 6.5 pounds (176 down to 169 roughly). I've been doing it in a healthy way! Just lowering calories and eating more fruits etc. and I'm even still eating junk and stuff too, especially over Xmas. But I didn't put the weight back on. :D

So anyway, it has nothing to do with the gym because over Xmas I took a week off from the gym and didn't use the ab machine which I use when I'm there. I think it might've started the day after Xmas actually. I'd eaten lots of food on Xmas day (but I wasn't bloated or overate or anything) and I woke up and I could feel it a bit but it's gotten a bit worse.

It's not my whole stomach, 'cause I can only feel it a bit when I'm lying down and I sit up, 'tighten up' my stomach, or when I cough (which I do have right now) so I think it's just the abdominal muscles. Honestly I'm stumped. Went back to the gym finally yesterday, couldn't use that certain machine. Well, I probably could've but I thought it best not to. :)

Probably it'll stop soon enough but it's already into like it's 4th day.

It could be a hernia, your description really sounds like one. Can you feel a lump or bulge where the pain is, it should be easy to feel when you're laying down. Pain from exercise should last that long.

I'd go to the doctor. You can develop problems if it's impacted.

good luck on the continued weight loss

Sounds like a strained muscle. Maybe you inadvertently pulled it during some sort of activity?

What could be a concern, is that you said that it hurts when you cough--it could be a sign of a hernia.

Go to the doc.

Congrats on the weight loss. Just make sure you're not losing more than 2lbs a week.

Sorry, thanks guys. False alarm I think.

It's better already today. A hernia I think would hurt a lot more than this did

I went back to the gym again today, probably could've done my ab workout but I thought I'd be safe and leave it for my next workout in 2 days. :D

Good news mate.

I have started doing some things to work on the abs and find they hurt a little, but that's good cause the muscles rebuild stronger. I am slowly starting to see them grow. Ever so slowly. lol

It sounds like you'll be OK fgor your next workout.

Good luck mate. ..|
