Ha! You won't believe it, I can write a book about my trip, thank Lord I have amazing friends like Jakey (JakeLucas) here and a couple of Dutch friends who came to the rescue at Hamburg by car to get my ass north to Copenhagen.

I was supposed to leave Sofia on the 21-st of November in the evening and complete a 4 leg trip with SkyEurope airlines to Vienna - Copenhagen and back. I paid solid money for those 4 airline tickets. I was supposed to spend a night in Vienna and take another plane with Sky to Copenhagen in the morning & be there on the 22-nd to see my fave band perform - Ace Of Base.

So on November 21-st I went to Sofia airport to catch my flight to Vienna, after waiting for 4 hours and going through an initial "delay" as explained by the chaotic messages at the airport, the SkyEurope staff at the airport called all passengers to the Sky desk where they told us that the flight was canceled due to fog.

They said the plane from Vienna didn't even leave the airport. We were amazed to find that the Sky team didn't even try to complete the flight and land at Plovdiv like some other companies did that same night... people got transported by buses and even with a 2-3 hours delay they reached their destinations. Not Sky.

So, the woman at the Sky desk told us that there are 35 free seats of the flight next morning at 9:35 am and told us that people who have connection flights will be first in line to sign up for those 35 free seats. I asked her if will be able to catch my connection to Copenhagen and she said that that will be hard to do but she said that when I arrive in Vienna I should be able to talk to the SkyEurope staff there and they will find me a flight to Copenhagen. So, I signed up for next morning cuz I really had to complete trip to Copenhagen. When I got home that night I immediately check if there are any more flights Vienna - Copenhagen by SkyEurope next day but to my surprise, there weren't any until 24-th of November, I panicked! I had to be in Copenhagen on the 23-rd by 8 am or else I was missing the concert (very expensive ticket) and meeting all my friends there.

So I immediately check companies flying out of Vienna to Copenhagen (with all sort of messenger on and all my friends who I was supposed to meet there panicked as well) or near and I found 1 available seat, flight by "Air Berlin" to Hamburg (Germany) at 16:35 from where a couple of Dutch friends could pick me up by car and together go to Copenhagen. Since I had no money left in my debit card (all my money went for those 4 tickets by Sky and the concert ticket at CPH), my bestest buddy Jakey offered to pay for that seat on Air Berlin so I can get to Hamburg. After a very long discussion over it I agreed that he will buy the ticket for me. I cannot even begin to tell how much that meant to me, knowing I have someone that loves me so much that would do such thing for me. I don't think anyone ever in my life has done anything like that for me.

Thanks buddy!!! You know the rest (*8*)

So... next morning, November 22-nd I go to Sofia airport to catch morning flight to Vienna, and after waiting for 2 hours without any sign of information (just a "delayed" sign on monitors) we get called to Sky desk again where the lady explained that we should soon be transported by buses to Plovdiv airport and complete flight to Vienna from there. What do u know... he plane left Plovdiv at 5:10 pm (almost 8 hours after initial time 9:35). So MY the trip to Vienna that should have taken 1.5 hours took 18 hour to complete. I had little sleep that night and I cannot even begin to explain what amount of nerve wrecking moments and emotional collapse I had with that Vienna flight.

The worst part came when due to the delay in Plovdiv I missed the "Air Berlin" flight Jakey purchased overnight because plane left 16:35 and SkyEurope arrived 17:10 in Vienna.

When I arrived in Vienna finally, desperate and depressed, I went to the SkyEurope desk and the staff explained to me that there is a "complaint" policy and she gave an email address on a sheet of paper to contact Sky (needless to say, no reply so far whatsoever by them). She tried to find any possible connections overnight to CPH but the only thing she found was a bus to Prague then plane to CPH, but I had to pay for bus (100 euros). Plus she wasn't sure if the bus was actually running or it already left... when I went to information to check, it turned out it already left...

Fortunately for me, right after, I went to talk to "Air Berlin" and they agreed to put me on another plane later that night for a service charge for missing the previous flight.

I got to Hamburg late at night and my Dutch friends picked me up and went to Copenhagen together.

The flight from Copenhagen to Vienna on the 24-th also got delayed 1.10 hours with an explanation that the plane arrived late from Amsterdam??? So probably no Sky for me again... (never say never tho) LOL.

So much for my troubles.

Now about the concert: it was AMAZING!!! I didn't expect it will rock so much, the band was great and the audience responded really well, everyone was jumping, screaming and signing along. The hall was full (around 4000 people)

After the concert the band had a meeting with fans and I got autographs for my friends.

Copenhagen is a nice and clean city and the people are really friendly. At some point in the city we got lost and we wanted to ask a bus driver if his bus goes to the city center, instead, he asked us if we had a map and he showed us exactly where he stops and where we should get off... that can never happen in Sofia, if u ask a bus driver here for directions he will just close door.

So anyway, below are a few picture.

Stan.
