im crushing kinda bad. on this one guy i saw a few time around campus (mostly in the gym). few days ago when we were both at the gym i had trouble not looking at him. he also looked towards me several times, but that could just be cuz i was looking at him.
after a bit of that i complimented his shirt, and he complimented my tats, and showed me his.
when i next see him i want to get his name, and then see if i can find him on fbook - to hopefully see whether or not he is into guys. then take it from there.
but since i think he is goddamn gorgeous and wont get out of my head, id figured id ask what you guys would do, maybe give me some ideas.

Find common ground. You both have tats. Start a convo about tats. take it from there.

Facebook is a bad plan at this point. It's a clear signal that you're interested that he won't mistake. I agree - strike up a convo, get his name. Don't be pushy, maybe give it a few times at the gym. Why not ask him to spot you?

And don't delude yourself if after a few conversations you are getting a straight vibe from him. A solid 90% of "I don't know if he's interested" is simply denial. If you have serious difficulty in deciphering his interest, and you feel like you have to analyze small signals, then he's NOT and the healthy thing to do is cut the wishful thinking and move on.

haha, he already offered to spot me and i turned him down - i have this thing where i hate beings spotted. idk why.

no i actually can never tell if someone like me or not. i guess i cant read body language or whatever - they have to spell it out for me, and i had quite a few people later tell me about missed opportunities.
if he turns out to be straight - oh well. life will go on. i understand its a crush, not the end of the world, and if nothing happens it will fade.

"You know what, spot me. I rarely ask anybody to spot me before but I need to get over it. I need someone to talk to anyway for a change.

Wanna grab something to drink?"

I dunno if that thing works for you but it would be sad to let an opportunity pass up. I have a feeling he's interested in something. Something good might come out of it. It does take balls to strike up a conversation with a crush - been there. I personally have that feeling of vulnerability but I learned after a long time that confidence is also attractive; your own confidence. Say hi and ask him out, have a drink. The worst thing he can say is no. Even assuming that he is straight, a lot of straight guys now are so sure of themselves that if they suspect a gay guy is asking him out they feel flattered, guys are not so phobic of gay guys anymore. From the looks of your encounter, he's quite receptive and not at all a dick so chances are good that he'll go out with you or at least make friends with you. The best thing that might happen in this situation assuming he's really straight is make you suck his dick to get his rocks off.

Take a chance. Ask him out again. It might lead to a date

I thought you were gonna say 'you both like tats, so go get some matching tats'. Lol

Yeah, keep talking to him man. If he's not gay/not into you, a friendship is not a bad choice regardless

havent seen him in a bit, but saw him today when i was getting food on campus. we said hi, mentioned how much the snow sucks, and that was it.
i dont think we are gonna get past acquaintances, just cuz i cant tell whats up, and i dont want to read too far into anything. if he brings anything up though, ill pounce. hes fucking gorgeous.
