Age of being allowed to be in a porn

I have a question: Can somebody tell me countries, where you have to be older (or even younger???) than 18 to play in a porn? List the countries and the ages! I am so curious!

Gee...I wonder why someone's curious about where to find underage porn? Well, to satisfy your mere "curiosity" in such matters... As far as I know, the international community has pretty much unanimously decided that 18 is the minimum legal age for all performers in adult films. The age of consent varies greatly from country to country, but any film containing people under the age of 18 is considered child pornography. Not to be preachy, but you would be wise to remember that. In the U.S., child pornography laws are very strict and have even gone so far as to make illegal any photograph or film depicting an individual who LOOKS under 18 (dumbass policy IMO) There are other countries, of course, where all of this, even this website : o and others like it are illegal all together (Iran, Saudi Arabia, etc.) but that is a different matter.

Someone posted a map of Europe a while ago listing the "age of consent" for sexual relations in each country. I doubt that that means the same thing as "age at which it is legal to appear in pornography." Here is the map:

I think in most of Europe the age is 16 -- which would make any images of performers that young illegal in the U.S.

I believe the US also makes it illegal for any of its citizens to engage in or consume child pornography while outside the US. This is one of the rare occasions where we criminalize behavior performed beyond our own borders.

If i'm not mistaken, even though the age of consent (for example) in the UK is 16 - it is still illegal to appear in porn until 18 years old - a very sensible policy.

In countries where pornography is allowed you have to be 18 to perform in a hardcore or softcore film or phostoshoot.

Totally different topic is the age of consentiousness when sex is not considered a crime. Two teenager under 18 having sex is not a crime, But sex with an under 18 person is still considered pedophilia.
