I'm leaning toward Muse but these are my heavy rotation ones!
3 more months in the year left and with Jet & The Killers coming out soon..... things could change!

Black Holes & Revelations-Muse
Eyes Open- Snow Patrol
Show Your Bones- Yeah Yeah Yeahs
Morningwood-Morningwood
All This Time-Heartless Bastards
Stadium Arcadium-Red Hot Chili Peppers
and..... I'm Not Dead-Pink

Without a doubt, for me the album of the year is Stromata from Charlotte Martin. I've been listening to it over and over again. As an artist she has grown and developed so much, and this new CD of hers has some amazing stuff on it.

You can here a couple of the songs from the CD here on her myspace page:

Man, I'm deeply in love with this woman!

Mine is definitely Christina's Back to Basics.
I just love it!!!

Mine so far:

Keane - Under The Iron Sea
Panic! At The Disco - A Fever You Can't Sweat Out

Except for romanian records but I'm not sure anybody here would know them. ;)

I would say
Love is All - Nine Times That Same Song
Xiu Xiu - The Air Force

but I haven't really listened to the new Mountain Goats or Yo La Tengo albums yet.

So far I would probably go for

"Black Holes & Revelations" - MUSE
with "Eyes Open" - SNOW PATROL as a close runner up.

And Danno on your recommendation I am going to buy the Pink C.D - I have been toying with the idea as I love the single "Who Knew". If all the tracks are as good as that one, then it should be a great CD...|

Albums I liked this year:

Breaking Benjamin - "Phobia"
Red Hot Chili Peppers - "Stadium Arcadium"
Angels and Airwaves - "We Don't Need to Whisper"
Nelly Furtado - "Loose"

Well, Christina's Back 2 Basics is the only album released in 2006 I bought so far. So I'll just give the title to that.

Also so far,

1. the fray/how to save a life
2. james blunt/back to bedlam
3. panic! at the disco/a fever you can't sweat out
4. tool/10,000 days
5. christina aquilera/back to basics

(!) (!) (!)

While it's no their best cd it's still album of the year for me:

Anti-Flag - For Blood And Empire

so far i'd say muse - black holes and revelations. such a great album and knights of cydonia is so awesome.

There are so many that are better than "Who Knew". "Cuz I Can", "Runaway", "Long Way To Happy", and "U + Ur Hand" are AMAZING

morrissey - ringleader of the tormentors

bob dylan - modern times

I have 3

1)Rihanna - A girl like me
2) Jessica Simpson - A public Affiar
3) beyonce - b'day
