As someone with some knowledge of pharma...the fact is, that it isn't really how it works.No. The pharma folks have zero interest is curing you of /anything/. Because money.
The idea that the pharma giants are purposefully holding back cures just isn't true.
While the manufacturers and promoters of pain killers have unethically pushed over-prescription over narcotics, when it comes to cancer and some other core diseases, the pharma companies have, in fact put compounds into production that do effectively 'cure' many cancers now.
And remember, much of the research that leads to pharmaceutical compounding starts within University Hospital research projects.
In fairness, the best that drugs can do for many things, as we have found over thousands of years, is to diminish and manage symptoms...and they do a good job of that.
No pill is going to change the fact that I have a genetic blood disorder, because no one has yet...even the department of Haematology at the University Health Network has been able to specifically identify what it is...despite dozens of panels for screening.
But the pharmaceutical industry has provided me with a single pill per day, with no side effects, that keeps me alive. Without constant testing.
