Now that Chris Paul won't be leading the break in LA don't think there is any more incentive for Dwight Howard to wanna team up with Mr. Morose, aka Kobe Bryant....Kobe wants to be undisputed leader of the Lakers and D12 has a great relationship with a real class point guard, the New Jersey(last season in NJ) Nets and really seems intrigued to go there.

PLEASE!!!Getting sick already of the NY Knicks being all over themselves after acquiring Tyson Chandler,as great as it is for that club. For once, can't Nets fans get their freak on for a little while?I mean, the two Finals teams back in the early Jason Kidd days were the best so far but even they weren't really taken THAT seriously.Unless D12 absolutely HAS to play for the Lakers, even with the point guard little buddy he had hoped for in Chris Paul(who may be throwing up alley oops to Blake Griffin in that other LA club, the Clippers)he has no better potential partner than D-Will with the Nets. They have a great young offensive center to give up in Brook Lopez, multiple draft picks and can take on the three years remaining on Hedo Turkuglo's odious contract.C'mon Nets, get Superman for once!!!

Dwight with Williams would be nothing short of incredible to witness. I hope that you get what you're hoping for :) IMO he's better off there than in Orlando.

It would be really fun to watch NJ vs. Miami if Howard joined NJ. IMO, it would be like ying and yang. Miami just couldn't compete at 1 and 5. But Miami would obviously be better at 2, 3 and 4. It would be interesting to see what would happen.

Don't you just love the eastern conference?!?!?

I really hope the pistons make you proud, my friend.

D12 and Deron Williams will be Mavs next year :D
Deron's in Brooklyn the next five years, and assuming that several free agents like Kris Humphries are amenable to sign and trades it may well be this week Dwight Howard really does come to Brooklyn, along with Jason Richardson who could be really productive off the bench. It's a complicated monster of a fouur way trade being discussed now between Brooklyn,Orlando,Cleveland and possibly LA Clippers.Laker's Andrew Bynum is the preferred target of Orlando management but is very unlikely to sign with the Magic after his contract runs out after the season,so it's Brooklyn's Brook Lopez, flawed as he is(though offensively very gifted)that is the best possible prize for Orlando to receive to replace D12.

Well,I'm sure D12 TOTALLY regreats his unfortunate decision to opt in,which took the pressure off of Orlando to get the best they could for Dwight. The Nets had to try to get better going into Brooklyn to get Deron Williams on board and with the acquisition of Joe Johnson from Atlanta and re-upping small forward Gerald Wallace obtained at the trade deadline last season from Portland,Deron was convinced to go long term with the Nets. This latest attempt to trade for D12 was hard pushed but ultimately only really achievable with multiple clubs getting in and potential free agents being on board for sign and trades....the right mix was just not workable even with the Nets willing to take on a couple of veteran contracts such as Jason Richardson and Chris Duhon. Now it appears the Houston Rockets most into the mix with their obsession for D12 going as far today as using amnesty rights to renounce the contract of power forward Luis Scola, three years left and over $20 million to free up cap space.Maybe Houston will be the Nets next partner next January, when free agents such as Brook Lopez(whom the Nets re-signed instead of waiting around any more for Orlando to move)will be eligible to be traded.....other than that it would appear that the likely landing place for Dwight will not be the Nets. But I wouldn't count it out,as long as Dwight feels no matter where he is traded,it's ultimately Brooklyn manning the middle for Deron Williams and the rest of the new Brooklyn Nets that he longs to play.

Well it appears that Dwight Howard is about to be dealt to the LA Lakers in a complicated, four way deal involving Orlando, LA, Denver and Philadelphia .Dwight will very likely still not extend but wait til free agency to get a maximum five year deal from the Lakers....don't think he'd go anywhere else likely. Certainly for sure the Nets are out now, but at least this mess appears near over.
