All the world's a stage, And all the men and women merely players; They have their exits and their entrances, And one man in his time plays many parts

Reading a thread that bemoans the absence of a JUBer. Some of the posters truly miss the JUBer, having invested time and energy into creating a relation with that person. Some question the legitimacy of that JUBer, wondering how truthful they have been in sharing details of their lives.

In the course of the postings, they brought up the "history" of BallCapHair and Andreus, two former JUBers, both of whom have reportedly passed away. Andreus was a JUBer with whom I invested some effort and time to know. We talked about eternity, the spirit, soul, human relationships and Rumi. I enjoyed learning from Andreus and exploring thought. While we were never more that pixels on a screen to one-another, they added value to my life.

BallCapHair enjoyed my thread on romance. They often left post comments and we would discuss human relationships and the difference between the various relationships that are lumped under the term, love. They too added value to my JUB experience.

Both, as stated before, died. Whether that was a physical death or a death of a JUB persona, it ended the relationship I had with them on JUB. The events decremented the value of the JUB to me. as their pixels on the screen brought enjoyment, thought and pleasure, enriching the JUB experience.

The JUB experience, for me, is not predicated upon knowing that the individual typing the pixels I'm reading is 100% as advertised. The experience is sharing thoughts, ideas and comments that derive from living and thinking. Not from being a certain age or nationality. But then, I normally don't ask about the mundane facts of their lives, but the important facts of what their values, their hopes, their desires are. What motivates and moves them.

As stated, all the world is a stage, and the JUB is a stage within that stage; and men and women merely players, and in the JUB sometimes playing players. And I, I do not care the costume in which they dress themselves, I only listen to the words they speak on the subjects I raise.

I'm missing Christian Gianni. Hope he is well.

I do create relationships with people that only exist on the screen of my computer. A relationship in which I care about their well-being and their happiness and their life. And yet our interaction is so fleeting and ephemeral. Sometimes that is true about people. The nephew that stole my heart at 5 seemingly no longer exists at 10. Some call it growing up, some might call it evolving. The caterpillar died when the butterfly was born.
