Do you like i prefer being on your own or are you forever searching for that Mr Right ?

Or just ignore the topic and talk about the wonderful Gilbert O'Sullivan.

I knew it was Gilbert as soon as I saw the topic title. Loved that song, and loved the laugh at the end of 'Clair'.

As for being alone, I don't particularly enjoy it, but I rarely ever get lonely.

Let me start by saying - "Edd's High School Hits"!

Yep, here's yet another hit from the year 1972, a year of outstanding music complete with the most improbable hits ever to grace Billboard Magazine's "Hot 100" sales chart.

When The Recording Academy contacted Gilbert O'Sullivan with an invitation to sing, "Alone Again (Naturally)", live at the Grammy Awards Ceremony - Mr. O'Sullivan graciously accepted.

When The Recording Academy notified Gilbert O'Sullivan that, "Alone Again (Naturally)", was in the short list for Song of the Year - rumour has it that Mr. O'Sullivan dropped the phone then fell to his knees and wept openly.

Cormac, I think your video clip is from the live Grammy broadcast. You can hear that Gilbert is actually singing to the over-dubbing while playing the piano with a real orchestra.

Gilbert's live performance is so close to the recorded studio session that I think I like his "live" version better.

Listen for yourself. Here's the studio version that topped Billboards "Hot 100" for six weeks. And listed on "Casey Kasem's American Top 40" for two solid months!

I can't understand why I am yet single:

(Some SERIOUS kudos to George Rose. Just incredible.)

Never searched for Mr Right..tried to outrun love.....

Back Then....this was my mantra....

...and this.....

...and NOW.....

Back when he was young Gilbert O'Sullivan was freaking hot!
I remember seeing this pic of him, and wanting him!

He was hairy chested, handsome as hell, and could he sing!

But to answer your question, I am content with being solo. I've been in relationships, and at this point in my life, I am not desperate or anxious to jump into a relationship. :D

How about "annoying"?

LOL.

Many wish they had Rose's talent. He played it smug, priggish, and uber confidently --- PERFECT for the character. His mannerisms were flawless. It was hard to make out in that poor video, but it quite sounded like he received a standing ovation. THe comments were full of plaudits for the xylophone player too due to the mad tempo.

It has always been a favorite piece of audiences, this performance was rare. I believe Angela Lansbury, Kevin Kline, and Linda Ronstadt were all in the cast as well.

How about "annoying"?

It probably would be to people who cannot appreciate the talent it takes to do such justice to that piece of music. Most people can't even speak it that fast without it sounding like one long mumble.

Talking of poor man's porn.

Obviously a fister.
