I'm sure you love your family but you can't put your own happiness aside for them. Just be true to yourself and don't worry about how they will react. If they truly love you as much as you love them they will accept you for who you are. If they don't... then there love for you is not really that strong if something as simple as being gay make them not want to have anything to do with you anymore.

You are 38 years old. It is time for you to live and enjoy your life the way you want to without harming others. Love your family, and form healthy, accepting and quality relationships with people and establish your independence from your family's stand on the subject of homosexuality. They come for the most part from different generations. It is your generation you need to focus your life on.
 
I come from a very religious family and I thought I would live my life in the closet rather than be rejected by my family. Someone who I trusted with everything decided to out me during Thanksgiving dinner. I can't begin to explain the feelings of embarrassment, rage and wanting to cry. It took them some time to come to grips with what I had been in constant turmoil all my life trying to deal with my attraction to guys. My father who I feared the most said, "he's my son and I love him." My four brothers excepted me right away.

I get some ribbing from time to time especially from my one older brother but its his way of dealing with my sexuality. However they have all excepted the fact I'm Gay.

I would think that the fact that you haven't had sex with anyone is the root of all your confusion. You are obviously basing your preference merely from imagination or pornography. Why don't you experiment with both sexes to confirm which one you do prefer: vagina :eek: or male ass :gaysex:
