Amy Poehler to leave SNL

Well, according to this source, Amy poehler is going to be leavin SNL following the elections and won't be coming back. She's going on maturnity leave and doesn't plan on returning. I have to say I am going to miss the hell out of her. She is so damn funny and its going to be a hole that SNL will have trouble filling.

After the opening sketch last Sat., I thought the show headed straight downhill....

I don't blame Amy one bit, if she plays her cards right she has a promising career in movies ahead of her...

There won't be as much of a need for someone to play Hillary for a while once the election is over. No rush to find a replacement, and in any case, I'm sure they can entice her to come back occassionally, just as they obviously have managed to for Fey. If not, they'll find someone else to do it down the road.

amy poehler sucks, last week was the first time i had watched it in a while and while the frist sketch was so funny, the rest, other than one was pretty unwatchable
