Hot new track

This song came out today.. ok, so it's in Spanish, but it's still very catchy! It's about being free to be who you are, to be yourself. And I love it considering the singer is openly gay!

The music video will be released next week, but I've seen the preview and it contains gay couples kissing:D

By the video, I'm assuming these are Iranian based musicians. It's a catchy tune, the semi-techno beat isn't that annoying, and as long as the singers weren't autotuned too heavily, they ain't bad.

As for being the 'next gay anthem' ain't any such thing in a particular genre of music.

They are not Iranian.. lmao. "Libertad" is Spanish for "Freedom". They are both from the Mexican pop group RBD, and yeah, these two had the best voices of the 6 members in that group.

I only said "next gay anthem" because I compared it with Lady Gaga's Born This Way, which is supposed to be the next gay anthem (her words, not mine). And then I saw this music video and read the lyrics and I think that it's a better song than Born This Way.. lyrics are better, their voices are better, it's more catchy too!

I liked it but I kinda hate that it is very stereotypically gay, shirtless men in a semi gothic dark club, leather, people dressed as animals, everyone making out in some sort of orgy, I've seen it all before in other "gay themed" videos.

Well.. first of all, the music video kinda doesn't fit with the lyrics.. I mean, it does, but not really.. Also, I think he did this because he has never really made a song about being gay before.. He has been open about his sexuality for a while now. But he still seemed kinda careful not to mix it with his music, if that makes any sense.. Which is why it must have been liberating for him to finally making a song like this. And I think it's great he kissed another guy in the MV (the guy is cute too btw). The fangirls are already crying! LMAO. They say stuff like "I know he's gay, but does he need to kiss other guys?" LOL. Like they EVER had a chance with him in the first place?!?! But I guess it's ok for them, as long as they "think" they have a chance with him.. stupid. I like the fact that he was so sexual in the video just to give the finger to those stupid fangirls!

Also, the lyrics are BEAUTIFUL! It really sends a message, and give the song some more depth and meaning. Like I said, this is DEFINITELY a gay anthem, the lyrics, the music video (Chris making out with another guy and Anahi being the great diva she always is). It's also a very up beat and catchy song. I have a feeling this will be a huge hit at the gay clubs, at least in the Spanish speaking world. It just wanna make you go clubbing and celebrate being gay, open and proud:)

Have you read the lyrics? Did you see the political images in the background? It's about being able to be yourself, to be free from discrimination, hatred and to be open and proud. And why not celebrate it too, right?:-)

Exactly, and I don't think that's a good thing. The lyrics speak about freedom and being yourself, does being yourself mean being overly sexual? Cuz that's pretty much what the video is about.

I really don't think it was necessary. It just sends a message that "hey this is my video about being gay, and I'm very sexual in this video, so this means that being gay means being a horny whore". I'm sure that isn't what he wanted to achieve but that's what it looks like.

Hopefully it'll be a hit, but with a video like that I'm afraid it won't be more than a gay song played in gay clubs but nowhere else.

I think this music video sends the message that they have gone though it, they once had to hide, but not anymore.. and that they're now free, so let's celebrate it. If you get what I'm saying.. the video may seem shallow on the surface, but it's kinda not if you look closer.

And I think it's good to see this side of Christian, also the gay side. And if that means kissing guys, then that's totally fine! He's been open about his sexuality for a long time now, but he's still held it back when it comes to including it in any of his songs. It must have been pretty liberating for him to do this song, and the music video too.

I did see the images but I thought they were kinda random and didn't really go with the overall theme of the video (except the one of Rupaul). To me, they were a failed attempt to say "see? our video isn't just about sex".
