I bottomed for this guy just over a week ago, he was pretty big and thick (the worst part). It ended up that he was just too thick for me so I had to stop. Realised straight away that it had given me a nice collection of anal fissures, which are pure agony. Agony when I got to the toilet, agony when I walk, and sometimes just for fun get a quick and sharp agonising pain when I'm not really doing anything.
Went to get checked out yesterday and was told to eat healthily to keep my stools soft (I do this anyway though my diet is good, so that's not a problem) and make sure I keep it clean and take regular warm baths, these things take weeks to heal and I would just have to ride it out.
This is all fine, and I've accepted it, but anything else anyone can recommend to ease me along? I've been wiping with baby wipes which seem to help, and putting vaseline around them before I go to the toilet to ease the pain.

I feel for you. Been there, done that. I actually had surgery almost 10 years ago for a fissure, which was a miserable experience; took months to heal from the surgery.

The last time I had a problem, a GI doc gave me some drug that had individual injectors (one for each dose) that I shot up into my ass. That healed me pretty well, but it was frightfully expensive (I was uninsured at the time). I can't remember the name, but perhaps if you mentioned the injector mechanism, the doc might know what I'm talking about.

Did you go to a specialist, or just your regular doc? If the latter, you might want to go to a GI doc or a proctologist.

Good luck!

Hmmm. A standard treatment is nitroglycerine cream mixed 1:10 with vaseline and you insert it with a finger once or twice a day. There is a steroidal something with a long applicator you shoot up your ass, too. Surgery is a last resort, is problematic and about 30% of the time doesn't work. If you continue to have problems, let your doc know.

I got a really bad fissure from my first time, too. I swear it makes me want to avoid anal for the rest of my life.

I can't think of anything else but all that you have mentioned. High fiber diet, a lot of water and warm baths helps me if I haven't bottomed for awhile.

Stool Softeners you can get over the counter if your passing hard stool.

Sitz Baths - Epson Salts at your local grocery store. Should help taking some of the sting away.

When I went for mine my doctor also scripted me Hydrocort AC Suppositories, and it seems to be helping out quite a bit. If it doesn't heal in a week or two- I'd go back, and see what else could be done. From waiting so long to treat my minor fissure started developing skin tags that are going away now with the new treatment.

I had a horrible fissure that was causing agonizing pain and bleeding for a week. My dr said the same thing, not much to do but wait it out. For the next week I used colace (stool softener) religiously as well as a glycerin suppository before each bowel movement to ensure a soft stool. This helped, but it was still quite painful. I did some online research and read about wheatgrass cream. I was very skeptical, but was at point where I would do anything to feel better. I ordered the super balm and began applying at twice a day. Within 3 days, I had very minimal pain and no bleeding. 3 weeks later, I now just have a slight burning sensation. This cream was amazing, and I am not a spokesperson. It really worked for me. Google dr. Wheatgrass cream. Hope this helps

Well, after thinking this couldn't possibly get any worse, it did. The last couple of days I started getting this burning pain which was there constantly and was keeping me up at night. Went back to the doctors and saw a different one this time, he was much more 'thorough' and said it was now infected. After a fantastic rectal exam he also found a small haemorrhoid, thought I'd escaped those, obviously spoke too soon. He's given me a dose of antibiotics to clear up the infection and I have to go back in about 5 days to follow up, if the infections gone he'll give me some cream to heal the fissures and the haemarrhoid. It's like walking around with a pineapple lodged between my cheeks, at work I've been using the excuse of having a legs session at the gym the night before, not sure how much longer I can keep that one up! Thanks for the tips, I'll get through this first patch then have a look at that wheatgrass cream, my arse is a fucking train wreck.

I am never ever bottoming ever again.

Ever.

For those of you that care I think I'm over the hump. Infections cleared up, 2 of the five fissures have healed completely, 2 more are nearly healed and the last is a deep fissure which is healing but will still take some time. Haemorrhoid healed on its own, and I can now walk and go to the toilet easily! Feel loads better already, I'm glad this stage of my life is over but I definitely don't want to deal with this ever again.

Good to know your situation had improved. It would appear your agony (infection and all) took about 2 weeks to abate. This seems a bit faster than another poster, 61985 - he recommended wheatgrass cream. 61985 took 3 weeks to recover.

At the very least, you should never let a large object go up your butt with hardly any preparation, patience, practice or lubricant. Guys only see anal sex in porn, where he just sticks it in their butt and starts fucking it like a pussy, but it's only edited to look that way; you don't see the enemas, the butt plugs, the outtakes where they're in pain trying to go too far/fast with it, etc. All of this happens before the anal sex happens.

As i've said before: I'm reluctant to try anal sex again, but I can promise you one thing: You will not bleed or tear if you're just using one finger and a lot of lube. You also won't bleed or tear if you're slowly and carefully riding the guy and he has a lot of lube on the condom. Trying to have missionary anal sex is like college; it's something you have to put a lot of work into graduating into, and even then, it isn't for everyone. If you can't find a top who understands this - and has a small dick - then you definitely shouldn't bottom ever again.

Fell your pain guy. Same problem for me about 8 years ago, big thick dick and I got 3 fissures. Painful to take a dump, in fact so terrifying that I began to eat Ensure-low residue hi energy drink. With steroids two fissures healed, but one gave problems for months and it became cancerous. It was biopsied and I wound up on chemo for non-Hodgkins lymphoma. All well now though, but I must say that I rarely bottomed-this was a guy I met at a reststop heading home and it was unusual for me to get fucked. Just keep an eye on things. Best of luck..|

I'm so sorry you went through that, it sounds horrible. What I don't understand though is how it became cancerous. I mean, a fissure is a wound, right.. Did your doctor explain what made it turn into cancer??
