Ive been wondering this too - lately after a long time being really not interested in anal mainly due to my paranoia about the hiv stigma and also not knowing what im doing and fear of pain or hurting myself (I think if anal was on the table in a committed relationship I think I'd want to Top) and also because I dont think it has to be the be all of sex, other things can be just as fun;

I did some research and it seems you are right--I think I am going to avoid anal sex all together! I just think its crazy anyone would submit to destroying their bodies with the problems anal causes. This is just one of the pieces I found on this.
