DUH! black men. was it even a competition?

Innocent Black people are significantly more likely to face wrongful convictions than innocent white people....

On high-level offenses – murder, sexual assault, and drug crimes – Black Americans are seven times more likely to be victims of police misconduct and spend more time in prison than their white counterparts......

Particularly on drug offenses, despite the use of illegal drugs being at similar rates between white and Black Americans and Black people comprising only 13 percent of the general population, 69 percent of drug crime exonerees are Black compared to 16 percent of white exonerations.
The only thing more amazing than the costly false incarceration of black men is how little the notoriously frugal American taxpayers care that they fund police corruption and imprisonment of innocent or non-violent offenders.

Alas, as with most things that affect POC disproportionately, I anticipate one of two responses:

1. Ok, and?
2. Yeah, BUT.....

These are the numbers and statistics people don't wanna talk about. I swear to god if I hear "13% of the population, 50% of the crime" one more time I'm going to throw my phone into a river.
