I wanted to share this with my fellow ANTM nuts. According to the article Tyra is gonna go back and pick past contestants for the new lineup in Cycle 17. If this is indeed gonna happen, there will be some drama for real. I think this may be Tyra's way of trying to get more viewers to tune in.

February 23, 2010 'America's Next Top Model' All-Star Cast Announced; Alexandria is Back

America's Next Top Model Cycle 17 will be mixing things up with an all-loser—er, all-star—cast. Tyra Banks has asked 14 previous ANTM contenders to return for another chance at competing to win the top prize.

They'll fight it out—probably quite literally, knowing the chosen few—to get their second chance at a Cover Girl $100,000 contract, among other prizes.

So who did Tyra Banks choose? One girl from every cycle except for three, six, seven, and eight.

Here are your ANTM Cycle 17 all-stars:

Shannon from Cycle 1: She famously refused to bare it all for the camera. What won't she do this time around?

Camille from Cycle 2: Camille didn't get along with the other contestants because of her bad attitude. This seems to be the theme of this "all-star" cast.

Brittany from Cycle 4: Brittany had short-term memory problems, but she had some rocking photographs. Even though she landed in fourth place, she has a shot this time around, if she can land at least one go-see, unlike in ANTM cycle 4.

Bre from Cycle 5: She's had trouble with the law since her America's Next Top Model début, and she couldn't handle criticism back during her modelling stint. (Then again, she was never all that good.) Chances are, she won't go far.

Lisa from Cycle 5: Quirky and crazy Lisa now has a music career. Is she just showing up to promote herself?

Bianca from Cycle 9: Bianca has a fierce and famous temper, which is probably one of the only reasons she'll be back. After all, what's ANTM without drama?

Dominique from Cycle 10: Back in cycle 10, Dominique's face couldn't take make-up, according to judge Nigel Barker, so what's changed? Chances are, she also still has an attitude problem.

Isis from Cycle 11: She didn't do well when she first competed, but Isis was the first transgender contestant, adding a bit of diversity to the mix.

Sheena from Cycle 11: This girl has some spunk, but can she bring it in front of the camera this time around? She's one of the few likeable cast for America's Next Top Model All-Stars.

Allison from Cycle 12: Here's hoping Allison has broken out of her shell. She has a unique look, with her large eyes, that almost got her the top prize, and she'll be serious competition.

Laura from Cycle 13: This southern beauty is another sweetheart, but is she fierce enough to handle this high-drama household? Here's hoping that she too can hold her own this time around.

Angelea from Cycle 14: Sense a theme? Yet another high-drama bitchy character that rarely takes a good shot.

Kayla from Cycle 15: Tyra Banks threw even more diversity into the mix by inviting Kayla, a lesbian, back to ANTM. She's another likeable one, and here's hoping, again, that she has the confidence needed to win.

Alexandra from Cycle 16: Really Tyra, really? No one liked this chick, and it was great when she was finally eliminated in Morocco. Her fake personality oozed every time she spoke, but apparently, that's the kind of show Tyra wants.

While all of these girls, except for Isis, placed well in their respective cycles, it was rarely because of their pictures. It had to do with the drama they brought to the show. So it'll be interesting to see how far—or not—they've come.

Who has the best shot at winning? Previous ANTM runner-ups of course, like Shannon and Allison. But there's 12 other girls who have had plenty of time to practice... and become more likeable.

ANTM Cycle 17 premieres in Fall 2011. Until then, the America's Next Top Model Cycle 16 chooses a winner on May 18, 2011.

Well, it's funny. There are some I'm excited to see back, but it's almost balanced by those that I'm not excited about.

Plus aren't some of these girls getting old as far as high fashion modeling goes?

I'm well aware of 'Against Ageism' being below my screen name, but I always thought modeling was a very youth-centric field.

I was excited about the ANTM all-star cycle until I read the line-up and discovered that Jade from Cycle 6 would not be apart of the cast. I refuse to watch if she's not on there in some shape or form.

You just can't do an ANTM all-star cycle w/o the greatest, craziest, fiercest contestant this show has known. And that is Jade.

Otherwise this entire cycle is just a joke. ANTM has officially jumped the shark. I mean they could have at least filled more of the slots with girls who were denied their right to fully shine due to Tyra and her bullshit politics. Like for instance, Nik from Cycle 5, Lisa and Heather from Cycle 9, Jennifer from Cycle 13, Naduah and Gabrielle from Cycle 14. It would have at least given this laughable premise some credibility that this show is still at heart a modeling competition and not a funhouse exhibit that Tyra has now turned it into.

I'm sure Bianca, Camille and Angelea will no doubt bring alot of drama and bitchiness to the house. But if I wanted to watch a pack of crazy bitches howl and shriek at each other all day, I'll turn on the Bad Girls Club.

Meh, they just need to cancel this shit and call it a day.

Nik, Heather, Naduah and Gabrielle are all great picks. I would add Khalen to that list. I loved her and was pissed when Naima won.

I have to say I'm enjoying this season, minus the whole Alexandria being back for cycle 17.

I hear what you're saying. Shannon from Season 1 has to be in her late 20's nearly 30.

I didn't like Jade but she most definitely made her mark as one of ANTM's most memorable contestants. As to the rest of your post, I couldn't have said it better. Tyra has consistently chosen the wrong girls as winners. Just look at Whitney's cycle for example, Anya, Fatima and Katarzyna would've all made better winners and correct me if I'm wrong but they've all been more succesful than her. I read that Katarzyna is the most successful contestant behind Elyse.

And I’m really stunned that Bre and Kim from Cycle 5 came back. Out of all the girls returning, they were among the few who actually went on and established slightly impressive careers.

And Mollie Sue from Cycle 6. I think she was one of the first contestants to appear in a publication of Vogue.

I wish Anya, Fatima and Kat from Cycle 10 returned. I know why didn't b/c they're actually able to land modeling gigs w/o the help of this show. But man, Anya, Fatima and Kat were phenomenal; quite honestly the best looking girls this series has seen. In a way, Tyra did them each a favor by not choosing them b/c they now can have respectable modeling careers w/o the blotch of winning America's Next Top Model on the resumes. But still, with those three girls in the mix that would have been an all-star show to behold. :(

Exactly! What do you think of Cycle 16 and who do you think will win? Molly or Brittani? I think Molly will win. I was surprised Alexandria didn't make the top 2 since it seemed the panel was up her butt a lot of the time.

"My name is Jade, the Ace of Spades, Furonda my dear I know your skin is bumpy, but my skin is flawless and you look really lumpy"

Hmmm, never forget. I loved Jade, I'm not watching since she's not participating. They need to hang it up, I don't even watch Top Model anymore.

Well of course, who knows who they wanted and who they could actually get that would agree to be on the show.

Aren't some of them too old now to be models. Is this the going to be the geriatric season?

I dunno why I wrote Kim, it's Lisa from Cycle 5 who's going to be apart of the cast. #-o

I stopped watching after the second episode. This new cycle was so white-washed and stale, I couldn't even feign enough interest to keep watching every week. So really, I dunno who's going to win nor do I care.

From what I last remembered, Molly whined about having a dead possum sewn to her head as a makeover. And Brittani got into a bunch of shit with Tyra b/c she had a breakdown and stormed out during panel. With their unlikeable personalities, I'm surprised Tyra kept either of them to the end.

And b/c I barely watched 16, I really didn't know who that Alexandria chick was. I'm assuming she was the designated bitch this cycle.

Meh...

They could have at least brought back Melrose. :(

LOL, you guessed right Alexandria was the bitch this season. You are mos def right about this season being white washed. I remember when Nicole won Cycle 5 and I was disappointed because I felt Bre or Nik would've made much better winners.

This will be interesting if it turns out to be true. There is NO WAY that Italian Vogue will be the prize for this cycle. It'll probably be Reader's Digest.

Even though I hated Bre, she's looking good in those Garnier commercials.

I'm a little puzzled by some of these choices. Cockeyed Lisa? Toothless Dominique? And Laura from the petite cycle?

Allison is by far my favorite out of this batch of girls.

LMBAO @ Readers Digest. I know one thing, with so many strong personalities cat fights will not be lacking.

The article says Brittany with short term memory loss was from Cycle 4 but I thought she was from cycle that Jaslene won because there was a Brittany on that cycle who had short term memory loss.
