I had to use it while trying to pass a kidney stone. One side effect is no semen when you ejaculate. It occurred with me, but didn't effect my orgasm any. I don't think that would be a good reason not to use it though. The worst thing is the stuff is expensive.

I used Flomax and regretted it as it aggravated the situation I had (BPH) even though the commercials really push it as the miracle answer. It works on a majority of people but not all. Also, if you are planning or end up needing to have eye surgery, the doctor doing the surgery must be told about any use of Flomax. The last thing you mention is what is called retrograde ejaculation. That has been discussed in this group previously. Not a big deal. All returns to normal after you quit using the drug.

I, too, had the surgery. No problem other than retrograde ejaculation. Bothersome at first, but "dry" orgasms feel 99% the same. Once over the psychological issue, I'd elect the surgery again in an instant. Pissing like a teenager and sleep all night. My wife (I'm straight and married in a monogamous relationship) seems to like the lack ejaculation as it makes post play more possible. If ejaculation is goal for some reason, and maybe more important in a gay relationship, then surgery may not be the best option.

I used Flomax and it didn't work for me - i had the TURP operation and everything is fine now - great to sleep thru the night again!!
