This may be a dumb question, but is there a way to make my body hair thicker? I have a little hair on my chest and legs but wish I was a bit more harrier.I'd also like to make my pubes harrier as well. I know Rogaine won't do the trick but was curious if there are any pills I could take. I thought I had heard some medications have side effects where they give you more body hair or something. Anyone know or any information regarding this? Thanks again!

Most people would like to be less hairy, I dont know the answer, but what I do know is that you're beautiful as you are.

testosterone? but i'd bet that would have some nasty side effects ..

so in general .. nope, sorry :) if you shave it - the stubble looks a bit thicker, but that's only an illusion that fades as soon as it gets longer.

They say that your hair (beard, body) grows faster when you're anticipating sex.

So, try being horny.

Unfortunately this one get's chalked up to genetics.

If you don't have lots of body hair now, you probably never well.

Tanner, I have a remedy handed down to me from the Latino culture.

Take a bunch of birth control pills, grind 'em up, and put 'em in your shampoo. Shake well each time you use this shampoo.

They say it takes a while to work. Don't give up.

applying female hormones daily on your body just like that .. yep .. GREAT idea
if taking prescription medicine without medical overview alone wouldn't be stupid enough, you encourage him to take stuff that's made for the other gender? sure .. usually it is applied orally but your skin also soaks them up.

if at all this might work against early HAIR LOSS on your HEAD .. not for you to grow THICKER BODY hair - those are two different concepts (hormon-wise). you might have noticed that guys who bald early (especially on the back of the head) often have quite a hairy body.

For the record,I'd never use birth control for ANYTHING(LOL) Besides, how does a guy get a prescription for Birth control? Thanks for the reply though. Very interesting and maybe helpful to some.I am not balding at least not yet. Seems like some of the hair on my legs has thinned out,or maybe it's my imagination. Was looking at some pictures from when I was 17 or 18 and my legs were pretty damn hairy.Less than ten years later and my legs do not look as hairy.I was really hoping to thicken up my pubes and chest hair though. I find hairy guys sexy. I thought there was a drug woman who go through transgender therapy take hormones or drugs to give them a more masculine body and features and was curious if any such drug was safe for a guy to take with no side effects(except more body hair) I was just curious. Many thanks again for the replies.

Corny, it didn't have any side effects, because apparently there's not enough in the shampoo for the body to absorb it beyond a superficial level.
men with a testosterone deficit get testosterone in some gel to apply it on their abs. apparently the skin in fact can absorb enough hormones.
but i am not medical professional and neither are you .. so be careful with statements like that.

I don't know. It was only a suggestion, Corny.
the way you phrased ("don't give up") it's more than just a suggestion. I don't know how one can give someone the "suggestion" to take ANY kind of hormones without medical supervision.

wikipedia said:
A hormone (from Greek ὁρμή - "impetus") is a chemical released by a cell in one part of the body, that sends out messages that affect cells in other parts of the organism. Only a small amount of hormone is required to alter cell metabolism.

there is this sticky .. yes, but it doesn't mean that you should give careless advice.

The bottom line is that you can pretty much look at the men on both sides of your family and take a good guess on how hairy you'll be- whether it be your body hair or the head on your head.

There's a limited amount that you can do to limit or enhance either the head on your hair or your body hair. Genetics and hormones control both and even medications are going to provide only temporary changes.

I once heard that eating white bread would put hair on one's chest. haha

that's only for blond people. everybody else has to use dark bread .. and gingers of course pumpkin bread.

it's true - all the hairy people that I asked said that they ate bread for a loooong time before the hair started to develop :)

And i suppose queer has to eat fruit bread?

The only home remedy I find works is Coconut Oil. Good for skin, excellent for hair. In Malaysia, we call coconut "kelapa" and we call head "kepala". Irony eh? Indians here use alot of coconut oil while growing up, thats why they have thick hairy chest. Apply virgin coconut oil onto ur hair(It also amplifies ur natural hair colour and keeps it healthy with no white hair if u do it as part of ur beauty regime. I've seen people with not a single white hair in their late 40's.) morning and nite. Right after taking shower. Shower>Scrub ur body real good to clear form all debris>wipe dry>apply coconut oil like moisturizer. u don't need alot as it might not feel very comfortable. Just a think layer will do. Its natural, chemical free and 100% organic active ingredient. NO, it doesn't work with coconut lotion, thanks for asking...|

Sorry buddy - but this one is a simple hand of dealing with what you were dealt. Some people are hairy some are not - some people have huge penises and most do not - just genetics. Don't worry about it - and enjoy what you got.

Unfortunately, I think that body hair distribution is based on genetics on both your mother's and father's side. I happen to be moderately hairy but still wish for even more body hair. Sounds crazy but it is true! At the age of 50 I was diagnosed with low testosterone and began using Androgel. Androgel is a prescription medicine used to increase testosterone levels in men. After about a year being on the medication I have noticed an increase in the amount of body hair I display. Perhaps it would be to your advantage to have your doctor check your testosterone levels. It would certainly be worth a try. There are certain side effects when using this medication and I am sure a doctor could answer any questions if you indeed do suffer from low testosterone. I must admit that a friend of mine, also using Androgel, has not noticed an increase in body hair.
