I'm really only into Black Flag and the Cro-mags, from that list. But they helped spawn one of my favorite queercore bands Limp Wrist, so for that, i'm happy as hell

I like As I Lay Dying, but i don't see them as hardcore... and, i completely despise Trivium.

Yeah, I read about the bad brains shit in American Hardcore. I'm not a huge fan of bad brains, but they have some classic songs, and I don't think anyone can deny that.

my thoughts on a Hardcore thread in a gay forum can be summed up in this one sitatuion: Once at 'The Beat' the only gay club in brisbane a Panic At The Disco song came on and all the fags were like OMG wats this??? this isn't generic gay dance music or mindless pop music or ugly rihanna? they were genuinely shocked LOL. it was so funny and they all left the dance floor. i'm like now you know how i feel, coz i hate electronic, trance, dance music ECT with a passion and i am forced to listen to it everytime i go clubbing!

Why? I mean the despising Trivium thing, by the way. I mean, I'm sure you don't particularly like the music, and that's fine, but I find it takes much more than bad music to make people despise a band.

Anyways, they're heavy metal, not Hardcore.

I like Trivium, myself. Good guitar work, passable vocals, good songwriting, and they're anti-homophobia, which is also nice.

I've seen the ex-guitarist - Todd Weinstock - live with Men Women and Children, and that was a fun gig. Later on, at about two in the morning while I was stood outside, he came out totally roaring drunk, ran up to one of the windows and jumped up so he could see it, screamed "HE'S FINGERING HER ASS!!!" and ran off laughing his face off.
