I have a Meade 8" Schmidt-Newtonian Reflector. I added an 80mm Orion Refractor to the top of it as a guide scope. It's also useful for seeing terrestrial images right side up.

I haven't been able to get the Autostar working on its own, yet....

At higher mags, I don't like having to look through a pinhole. So I bought the Meade series 5000 Ultra Wide Angle eyepiece set. It's well worth the cost.
I have absolutely no idea what you just said. But my boyfriend does have one.

So you're a pretty serious astronomer? I'm afraid that if I had one, I'd just perv with it!

Always wanted a telescope. Each look increases the wonder

When I was a kid I wanted a telescope like yours so badly. For some reason, I've lost interest over the years. I'd forgotten how much I wanted one until just now.

I love telescopes, but I don't own one. I would much rather go to an observatory and look through a big one. It is like the difference between a cheap laptop keyboard and a magnificent theater pipe organ.

god, i'll have to go dig mine out of the box...to say what it is. since i moved to the city i can't see hardly anything. ..

...ok mine is a Meade ETX-60at

I have one, not near as nice as these. And it is storage! cause I don't have room for it.

I've got a pair of 10x50 binoculars, which are just great for the sort of star-gazing I like, with good crisp optics, and a nice large field of view. I can happily search for and find planets and deep sky objects.
