I loved, loved, loved everything Prince and Prince related back in the 1980's from Vanity 6's "Nasty Girl" to Sheila E., Tamara & The Seen, The Family, The Time, Jill Jones. You name it.

And thank God the hits ... and re-makes (hi, Sinead O'Connor, Alicia Keys et. al) kept coming in the '90's & this decade.

I do love "Nasty Girl", but I especially get a kick out of "If a Girl Answers, Don't Hang Up". Vanity and Brenda want to go to a party, but have no car, so they call up Jimmy. Brenda suggests, "If a girl answers, don't hang up - just TALK ABOUT HER!" And they proceed to do just that.

V: Hello, this is Vanity. Is Jimmy home?
Girl: Yes, but he's taking a shower.
V: Oh, I see. Did he just take out the trash?
Girl: No, that's something he used to do. Now he's taking out me.
