I thought the first one was dumb, but everyone raved about it. I don't get it.
 
The first was a really fun, mindless action movie. I expect this one to be the same. :)

I'd have to have a lot more than my mind missing to sit through this movie. Maybe if I'm extremely bored (read: when jabbing my fingers with a rusty nail becomes tedious) I can sit through an action flick that has no real depth, and is just a mass of explosions and gunfire.
 
I'll probably end up seeing it, just because it's so ridiculous, that this kind of thing you have to see to believe.
 
See the fun in crank is that the movie doesn't take itself serious at all. Basically it's action comedy, and a damn funny one.
oh and it has jason statham shirtless :o

Hence the use of "mindless". :rolleyes:

Sometimes it's nice to just shut down and see a bunch of action without much of a plot. If you are unable to appreciate that, that's your loss. :p
 
^ Exactly. For me, it's usually the very graphic, yet quite well done, horror movies like AVP2.
 
Part 1 was already too bad... They'll have to aim at me with a gun to make watch part 2.
 
I enjoyed Crank, and I intend to watch (and hopefully enjoy) the second instalment! ..|

seriously. i'm not really sure exactly what people would expect from a movie like this BESIDES what a hot piece of ass Jason Statham is. he's almost hot enough to justify paying to sit in a theater for. i'll wait for netflix though.

Didn't the main character die in Crank 1?

Isn't a sequel about as logical as making a sequel to Titanic?

Am I stupid for asking logic out of movies like this?

That's one of the funniest things - they didn't even bother to create some kind of logical or supposed to be possible solution. They just made something totally stupid up ;)
 
Just returned from watching it.
And it was all that I expected
Brainless but very funny action with a lot of eye candy (even more for my straight mate ;) ). Only the scene with the two gays and the dog collar in the park was a bit off-putting .. is it that gay-bashing in the original, too? Unfortunately I saw a dubbed version.
