I don't make that many threads, but when I do, I'm always looking back to see how many replies and even views take place afterwards. Is this just my own insecurities (which I'm well aware of) or do all of us do this? I'm bored tonight and just putting my own thoughts out there for anyone or everyone to take a crack at!

I'm just a whore.

It doesn't affect me either way if I get posts/views or not.

I stopped making threads sometime ago, unless it's a congratulatory thread. Most of my threads suffer a quick death anyway, so I though I would be merciful to all my fellow Jubbers!

Attention whore? Down deep, I think we're all attention whores!

I won't argue with that.

I will check back on threads I've started as I'm curious to see if they have any activity or to see what's been posted. If I'm lucky maybe one or two will survive for a little bit but most of them just fall off the radar. ;)

Any thread creator who says they don't do that is a liar! I mean, what would be the point of creating a thread if you didn't check frequently on its progress?

I constantly check to see if anyone has replied to my threads. I think it's more of an obsessive compulsive thing.

The first time a person sees a mirror they are often fascinated with it.
JUB is like that mirror.
And it reflects a variety of deeply personal issues.

I'm new here, but yes, I go back and look. And I look on other Web sites.

Sometimes they get lost in the avalanche of new threads and I forget though!

Nah...

I like to check back every once and awhile to see if there's a response...Depending on what the thread was.

If it was nonsensical, I wait until the next evening before I check up on it. If not, then I'll usually check once ever 10 - 30 minutes.

I haven't done too many threads outside of congrats threads!oops! but obviously,I like to check and see how many responses and how many views they get.I check quite a few times on how they're doing,I admit it..I'm somewhat of an attention whore;)

We're here to communicate. And checking your own threads is part of that communication. That doesn't make anybody an attention whore. Whatever that is.

Don't be silly! ;)

Every thread I made has only had like 4 or 5 posts then it dies down. Unless it's free porn and people post wanting more.

if you dont check back to see if somebody responds, then you wont ever respond and your thread will die.

its pretty basic. I dont see where the whorish portion comes into play?

That's not always true. Some threads take on a life of their own. Other threads are given life by their creators and brought back time and time again.

Those who keep bringing them back require the attention. That's where the "whorish portion comes into play".

That seems very natural to me! Wouldn't we all be interested in what people have to say--- whether we've asked a question or just made a remark about life, our own or someone elses!

I don't know but you're up to 195 views already.

Pretty good for not wanting attention. Or did you?

Sometimes I like attention, but that doesn't make me an attention whore. When I create a thread, I go back to every now and then. It used to bother me when there were few responses to my thread. Now I realize that it's the content of the thread that attracts attention. I don't have the energy to be a full time JUB attention whore.
