What? No option for both? :?

I have a dog and used to have two cats, but now only have one. I prefer the dog; He isn't as naughty.

Dogs...
They are naturally attracted to me, and sense how much I like them! :D

A bird person tbh :p
but between cats or dogs. I'd say dogs.
I don't hate cats though. Just love dogs more. I love german shepherds and huskies :luv:

I always thought that gay guys like dogs more though haha. Since I see most gay guy have dogs in their pics (social media). Majority of my friends likes cats more as I always get spammed with cat pictures in status updates lol. (Most are female).

More a dog person, even though I have a cat -- not a dog. Dogs require more care than I'm able to give.

Dogs--their genuine love and interest in humans has evolved over time and now they are really a part of any family who adopts one. Love dogs, although some breeds (pits, rocs, mastifs) freak me out.

What ryuukie said. I work too much to leave a dog alone all day.

You are correct---people who get dogs and spend no time with them because they have no time to spend are assholes. Dog walkers (and nannies) are a big business in NYC because lot's of executives want it all even though they only really give time to making money.I work from home so my dog got plenty of attention.

That's nice to know that you are giving your pets the attention they need :) I hate people who have pets but don't bother to take care of them. Screw my two (now ex-housemates) who wants cats and rabbits just because they are "cute" #-o They leave them starving, not cleaning up their poop for weeks and cause me to getting bitten badly by fleas for months, almost years :dead: One should just play neopets or have robotic pets If they don't want to deal with the hassle.

Well, I went as "Rover" to the last Furry convention, but the one before I was a cat named "Martin." Rover seems like it will stick though.

Both have their good and bad points. Not all are created equal. Some dogs are like that annoying guy at the club who just won't leave you alone..."Hey! whatcha doin? you look so nice, can I buy you a drink? what do you do?..."

I guess if I had to chose I'd go with cats, simply because they don't require 24/7 attention and most seem to be a great deal smarter. Notice I said "seem" we don't really know and here again not all are created equal. I've seen some stupid cats, too.

Yes, Scealle--over here lot's of people get kittens and puppies because they are cute and then don't care about them when they are adult. My puppy was adorable as a child but a pain in the ass---I loved/enjoyed him more as an adult doggy.

Love both but I have a cat because they are low maintenance as compared to a dog. I'm often away from home on business and don't have the time required to properly care for a dog. If I had a more predictable life and I was home every day, I would have both a cat and a dog.

I like and have had both, but I'd say I lean towards cats. Soft, furry, friendly, maintenance free little piss and puke factories. Love 'em.

I've had dogs most of my life. Now I have cats, mostly because life has robbed me of the time to truly take care of a dog.
The cat's don't care, as long as the litter is clean.

More of a cat person here. I do love all animals. My cat is amazing and has always behave more like a dog than like a cat, we also have to yellow labradors, a boy and a girl. The boy dog was a Xmas present from my partner, though I wanted a brown one, this yellow labrador puppy stole my heart, he pick me. After that we adopted the girl dog from someone who did not want her anymore, she is a bit complicated, though very lovable, the boy is a clown, they make a great couple. This will most likely be the last dogs I will ever have. I find dogs are too needy and they require way too much commitment, I'm always cleaning the floors because they drool, we have to play with them or walk them on a regular basis, anyway, you see what I'm getting at.

I had cats that lived outside as a kid... then as an adult at friends houses I learned I am insanely allergic to the furry little guys. SO I voted Dog person... plus I have two fur balls right now and they are awesome. For those of you who think dogs are too rambunctious? I would just say that if you pick a breed that gets bigger than 50 pounds you will avoid all of the nervous barking energy bullshit. My dogs are the chillest little guys on the planet.... they do make an awesome doorbell though....

As for cats, I have always wanted another kitty but I need to get him or her when i start out another puppy and not with grown dogs. It just wouldn't work out well.... Mo chases anything critter like that isn't his species and some that are because he is a hunting dog. I couldnt and wouldnt train that out of him so...... maybe no cat ever...
