Aren't Guys (specially Str8s) Self Conscious?

I hope this doesn't sound stupid but I've asked myself a lot about this cuz I can't really understand it.

Have u notice how guys in general, specially str8 ones, have no problem taking their shirt off ANYWHERE they are in front of EVERYONE??? Family, girlfriend, boyfriend, friends, strangers...They answer the door wearing just boxers or even naked, if they get hot they take their shirts off no matter who is seeing them. Doesn't it comes to their minds that someone is looking at their chests, nipples?? belly??? It just amazes me how they don't even care. They're playing soccer and get all sweaty and take off their clothes (believe me I'm NOT complaining, just asking). I'm sooo not like that so I found that weird cuz even if they don't have the hottest bodies, if they're a little chubby or ave huge nipples or something weird they won't care to show it all...

Because they are usually with other guys..therefore, they dont care.

Just as I would be more inclined to do so with girls, because I dont care as much what they think.

But, I play soccer and that is something I do..naked all the time in the dressing room with other guys..and its really something you get use to.

Its like anything in life. If you take sports seriously, that does not come into mind. I am concentrating on getting myself mentally ready, to not make mistakes, to make good plays, to play the best I can. That stuff is not on my mind at all. If you take yourself seriously, you worry a lot more about clearing the ball out well, making some good skilled plays, setting up nice plays..than other things. (basically all the physical, mental, technical things within the game) In that capacity, I would be a lot more worried what people thought about me as a soccer player, then anything else.

So, those two things are the main reasons.

All people Gay and straight have different comfort levels with nudity or partial nudity. Some won't do it because they have been brought up in an environment where it is frowned on, others because they have a low self image of their body.

Some might do it because they are feeling hot (elevated temperature kind), some because they want to show off their body.

How can you know whether a bare chest is owned by someone Gay or straight?

I shouldn't worry about it too much, each to his own!

I agree. I've always maintained that guys are bigger sluts than women`in reference to how they dress in public. They seem to love to show skin at every opportunity. At the first sign of spring their shirts come off and the shorts go on without hesitation. I'm amazed how guys dress that leave little to the imagination.

Don't know why you would be self conscious of taking your shirt off. Now I agree that there is a time and place that is acceptable to take off your shirt...and some places where it is not such as at a party, etc.

It amazes me how disrespectful and inconsiderate some people can be. Just because Croynan doesn't care about the topic raised is interesting. Croynan cared ENOUGH to slam the original poster. It takes energy and time to be insulting just as it takes time energy and time to create a post that is of concern to the person who makes the post.

Playing "nice" here on Jub is the ideal, some don't seem to appreciate the value of a place where what ever needs to be asked can be.

I have to agree that it is at minimum rude to mock a thread just because you don't like it. Just ignoe it if you don't like it. This is a community where people post what is of interest to them and not all things interest all people, but it it is good that have a place to ponder what interests them without being judged for it.

There is a vast difference between "slamming someone" and making general observations about what one has seen and heard - time and again, over and over and is of such little value to the progress of man's existence or the homosexual pursuit of happiness.

Surely homosexuals do deserve better then this in their reading adventures. Most of them do have minds and most of them like to use them in reasonably intelligent and meaninful and humorous ways.
