I love the song Kiss the girl from The Little Mermaid soundtrack.

 
Sorry not to be Debbie Downer but I really don't like it when every time Disney uncovers a "never released song" from the "Disney Vault" and slaps it on the Special Edition DVDS of their classics movies. And they're always sung by some Disney teeny bopper or cheesy pop singer (ahem, Clay Aiken). Keep the classic songs that made these Disney treasures such classics. I don't need to hear Clay singing A Whole New World on my new Aladdin dvd or the cast of Suite Life of Zach & Cody singing Circle of Life on the re-released for the third time special edition of my Lion King dvd. Grrrr......

the ateens covered under the sea and some emo wannabe band covered poor unfortunate souls and are playing the video all over disney channel

Yuck - that was pretty naff - nearly as bad as the cover version Peter Andre did, and he made it to #9 in the U.K charts in 1998.
 
Disney's little pop tween remakes are always awful. Let something be. Can't you stop destroying your own beautiful creations?
 
I like ashley version of that song better than the jonas' brother version of the other song. i heard it today and the only words i could understand were poor unforunate souls

she may have sang it just fine, but i can never get the original out of my head as the way it's "supposed" to be. even when i see folks i like in concert, if their songs don't sound like their released version it just seems wrong to me. lol sorry.
 
God, I finally heard the Poor Unfortunate Souls trash by the Joans Brothers and exactly what kind of shit was that supposed to be? It was crap! Crap crap crap! It's like Disney was desperate to get all their little acts a piece of the pie and these poor schmucks knew they had no choice...

Poor bastards. It was like watching a cat die.
 
I'm sorry, but Disney really needs to stop getting it's tarts to cover perfectly good Disney tunes, it's never gonna compare to the original.
 
I usually hate it when Disney remakes songs (especially when Raven is involved). But surprisingly, I liked Ashley Tisdale's version of Kiss The Girl. And for whoever thinks she is ripping off Hilary Duff, Hilary isn't all that original herself. Has it ever occurred to you that she's copying somebody else herself.
