At what age does bodyhair stop increasing?

This question is mostly to the older guys, but I was just wondering -- at what age (on average) do you stop becoming more and more hairy? And is chest/back hair different from arm and leg hair? Seems like there are a lot of older guys with superhairy backs and chests, but unhairy legs. Of course, the one part of your body that does not become more hairy is the top of your noggin. I'm 28 and already look like a werewolf, and am wondering when the madness will end. Do most guys continue to get hairier in their 30s and 40s?

I think my body hair stopped growing when I was about 35 or so.Everyone is, I am sure, different.
I am moderatly hairy(legs, chest,butt)and hopefully will hold onto it as I slip into old age.
I guess the people to ask are the male members of your family as they will be able to tell you better then anyone else.Check with family about hariness in grand fathers uncles ect.I don't know about balding, harriness skipping a generation

I don't have any living, close, male relatives on my mom's side. On my dad's side, well, I'm about 3-4 times hairier than my dad ever was (I got his unibrow, though). My hunch is that there must be multiple genes at work, and not just one.

Once more it may be a generational thing.Don't stress over it though,what you have is what you have.There are a lot of men (including me)who find it very sexy.

The reason that you see a lot of hairy men with little leg hair in thier later years is due to friction of slacks and socks. It tends to rub the hair off.

I don't think it ever stops except for on your head. As someone else pointed out, it's all genetic or mixed genetics. You're either hairy or not and there's not a lot you can do about it.

I can assure you : hair doesn't stop growing with age.
I may also add that hair growing from your ears and nose gets tougher with years !!!! Or maybe is it from the plucking !
Do you know also that ears and nose start growing from 40 years up ?
Look at the photos of your grand father, he has long ears.

Maybe, or it's because they have problems with their nerves or circulation, both of which are required for hair growth.

Amen. (And it tends to have a life of its own, too, deciding to take up residence in places where it never lived before. I find ear hair to be particularly evil and I spend time every few days harvesting the crop in my ears and on my lobes!)

Depends on the genes for sure, as I have gotten older, I have hair on my back, but it is not heavy or coarse, just there and not getting any worse. Thinning on top for sure. And of course it is growing in all the places you don't want it too. Overall, has not gotten out of order, but grows longer. Balding on the other hand is a trait most often passed down from the mother's side of the family. So check out Ma, Grandma and great Grandma side of things.

you got that right sparky. I didn't have back hair till the hair on my head started disappearing.

If you shave,anything other than beard,growing will increase,quite dramatically.
