So in January I weight 238 pounds. As of a few days ago I am down to 197. I have dropped several inches on my waist, and shirt size is down to a Large from a xxl. I workout every day, I have a Garmin VivioFit. I have replaced many meals with Salads. All things considered I think I am kickin ass on my diet and exercise regimen.

However, with this I feel like my sex drive has gone way down. I don't get horny very much anymore and pretty much had to cyborg my way through sex last night with my wife.

Has this happened to anyone else? Is there some type of imbalance?

Exercise SHOULD increase your testosterone -- which SHOULD increase your sex drive...

I'm not sure how your diet would impact this...

CONGRATULATIONS on your determination and your HEALTHIER lifestyle!!! ..|

Keep it up...

That's a lot of weight lost in a very short time. It's typical to lose a lot of water-weight in the first couple of months when you restrict your diet- particularly if you're restricting carbohydrates.

When is the last time you had a physical and lab work done? If you haven't had a physical in a while, it would be a good time to do so and if everything checks out, you might want to consider a more structured diet plan or working with a nutritionist.

Could it be that you're over training, and your body is just too exhausted?

I've been having a similar issue myself, actually, and this response is similar to most of what I could find online. I haven't lost nearly as much as you (congratulations by the way!), but I've been doing a lot of weight lifting in addition to cardio and it's made me a lot less like myself in that regard.

Are you getting enough sleep/rest at night?

As far as sleep goes I have problems there. Always have. In fact my fitbit charts my sleep and as far as deep sleep goes I get two hours a night. Everything else is just hovering in light. But that's nothing new.

I lost 30.pounds before I even started working out. But i have been trying to get to new limits and fix my cardio. For instance I ran about 4 miles yesterday on about an hour, but this morning I ran one mile in about 26 minutes. So I don't think I'm really over doing it.

My diet fluctuates from 12 to 1500. I am pretty active at work. My fitbit says I took over 20000 steps today but I say more lime 10000. I'm very active with my arms so it thinks I am walking g more than I am.

And thanks for the reply and congrats BTW.

Congrats on the weight loss bud. I've always read that when you exercise and lose weight that your libido increases. Weird.

Congratulations on you success with the diet and exercise. But never forget, the weight comes back a lot easier than it goes off. Keep up the good work.
