A few hours ago, there was a thread on this forum to say that Bel Ami had been removed from JUB's Prohibited List. I thought to myself, GOOD! ..|

I've just logged back on and see that the thread has disappeared and that Bel Ami is back on the list! :(

What gives? :confused:
 
As long as I've been a member here, BelAmi has been on the prohibited list.

I am unable to find the thread of which you speak. Do either of you have the URL by chance?

That clearly shows Bel Ami now - the reason none of the Mods responded previously is that none of us knew anything about this change...and we were asking if any of us had heard anything in the Mod Forum.

The list is (AFAIK) only updated by Seth or JD - we (Mods) obviously have no input into this.

I can only presume that perhaps Bel Ami was "accidentally" removed when the list was updated - and the error was subsequently fixed...
 
If you guys agree to self moderate and leave the Bel Ami border, keep the size and quantity of the images to a reasonable level I could ask for the ban to be removed. The only reason it is there was to prevent all of our material being freely distributed on the web. WE do still need to offer something more to attract paying customers, so we are pretty strict on sharing copyrighted material, but can make exceptions if it does not get overdone.

I can understand your studio's concern about members "overdoing" it ... but last year Falcon Studios was removed from the Prohibited List and I think everyone agrees that any Falcon material subsequently posted here has been within reasonable limits.
 
Yeah, Bel Ami, shouldn't have been removed from the list. It was a brief error from a bad copy and paste.

BelAmiOnline posted yesterday and opened a door though. They are well aware that their guys are celebrities in our world here and that its good publicity to keep them front and center for you guys. However, they are a business and we don't want to be free loaders. If they move forward with allowing you guys to post stuff from them, you will all have to be vigilant to ensure that you never post a photo from them that has had a watermark removed and that you don't try to post HD quality photos. They need to be able to keep the videos and the highest quality photos as a benefit to their members.

Just like the other studios that work with JUB, the primary goal is to show our members here the range of goods available and maybe a taste test, but to actually eat... you need to stop by the register on your way in. If you guys can support Bel Ami and show them some love, then it looks like they are willing to show you some too.

You guys will not only have to police what you are posting, but you'll have to be our eyes and ears and report posts of others if they violate Bel Ami's wishes. The only thing that would suck more than not being able to post from Bel Ami would be being able to post only to have that privilege withdrawn because it was abused.

I'm sure BelAmiOnline will check back in to this thread, so help convince him guys that this is a good idea and that we can work within his guidelines.
 
Yeah, as long as you're demanding that you be completely unavailable for any free distribution of content on JUB you're shooting yourselves in the foot.

Here in the United States, they tried banning alcohol once, and guess what...people fucking drank anyway!!!

There are 3 websites that I'm a paying subscribing member of, and I decided to subscribe to each of them because they posted (and allowed users to post) some content on JUB...I thought, wow, this is hot, I'll buy it.

As long as Bel Ami is going to refuse to play ball, people are going to steal your content behind your back. But, If you want to let everyone see the opening act, they'll buy a ticket for the whole show.
